I don't know what Iceman did, but he landed himself in the interrogation room.
This is my new diorama that was built with removable walls all around. That allows for 360 degrees of shooting. I knew I was going to try to make more realistic photos with this dio, so I wanted to get the ceiling in there too. It is simulating standard overhead fluorescent lighting you would find in the police station.
The wall with the glass window is removable to allow the rooms to simulate a hallway as well.
All of the furniture was scratch built. In the observation room, I made a desk from wood. I don't have a chair yet for that room. The computer on the desk is scratch built as well, using tag board.
In the interrogation room, the table is made of wood, with metal loops for locking down a criminal. The chairs are plastic frames with wood seat and back.
On the walls, there are simulated cork boards with information I thought one would find in a police station. Maps, CPR instructions, fire exits, and wanted bulletins.
This was a lot of fun to make. It was different from my last build, of the giant pier scene. In some ways it was harder with more walls to make. The doors and window were a bit tougher too, since I had to make sure it was all as straight as I could make it.

So this book kicks off with a bang! Page one! Iron Man bear-hugging a shark while testing a new breathing apparatus for his newest suit! Wild! :P
Anyway, like a chump he flies out of the water a little later passing a boat that so happens to be carrying two Spider-Man villains because we all know Iron Man has no good villains so he needed to borrow some for this occasion :P
Kraven The Hunter and The Chameleon are sulking about a battle they lost with Spider-Man as they make it to a nearby beach, only to walk head first into Iron Man, just chillin' there like he knew they were gonna just show up all along. Kraven gets caught but some how Tony completely misses Chameleon hiding just beyond some rocks! Iron Man quickly takes out Kraven and drags him away.
Meanwhile at Stark Industries, Happy Hogan is sharing fashion advice with Pepper Pots, when in through the front door lumbers Steve Rodgers himself, all torn up and disheveled. So as Tony gets back, he helps him out and gets the deets of Cap's beatdown.
*queue flashback*
Turns out Cap was just walking around town when he heard some old dude calling for help out into the street from his apartment.
So naturally Cap busts in uninvited.
This old dude is like “Hey wait, before you go stop those bad guys that are in my apartment let me warn you about something reeeaaal important” So Cap gets in close and POOF! The old dude whips out (what looks like) a sleeping gas gun and knocks out Cap!
He later wakes up after Chameleon copies his brain-waves to pull off the ultimate imitation (what ever that means...)
By the time Cap snaps awake again, he makes a daring escape and quickly turns to Iron Man for help!
*end flashback*
So Iron Man is all like “Cool dude, you rest up. I'll go get that son of a beach!” but as he's walking out Cap turns around and gives an evil cheeky grin right to the reader!
A bit later, Iron Man travels to The Avengers Mansion, bursting right through the wall to give the 'Cap-Impostor' a talking to!
Of course the real Captain America is all like “Oh gee golly hiya buddy! What brings you here pal?” and Iron Man is all “Shut the hell up ya nerd and take off that dumb costume that you're undoubtedly wearing over you other costume!” So then Cap's like “Uh what? You and me are the only one's here bro, Chameleon got away from Spider-Man a week ago what the heck are you talking about?”
Then they fight across some roof tops and into a construction site until Cap straight up just knocks Tony off of a building!
When he hits the ground, Iron Man remembers that he has the same weakness as Green Lantern and needs to go recharge for a bit... so he just runs away and Cap is just left standing there like “...Uh what just happened?”
So while Iron Man sits down for a rest (probably plugged into a wall), Pepper and Happy find that the 'Cap-Impostor' has gone missing! They try to warn Tony, but because this was The Silver Age, his Arc Reactor actually meant something and he needed to literally recharge himself before he could take any calls other wise he would DIE!
So after a bit, Pepper and Happy jump in a car that tracks the Iron Man Suit, while Iron Man gets back on Cap's trail. They soon meet up again in another completely empty power plant/construction site and start dukein it out once more!
It's actually pretty cool, Cap drops rubble on him, Iron Man bursts through some walls, and eventually Cap loses him in a cloud of cement dust. Of course at this time Happy and Pepper are also now wandering around in the dust and Happy Hogan walks off of something and Cap saves him.
So of course Iron Man is all like “Woah hold on wait a minute a bad guy wouldn't do that!” But then he gets distracted again by Pepper who also needs saving from something.
So he hops over to her when suddenly some factory/construction machinery comes down at them and Iron Man smashes right through it saving them both!
Then Giant man shows up with another Cap (that was operating the machinery) and he's all like “Hey man, Janet and I were just outside watching some ants or something when we saw Chameleon screwing with you in this crane dressed like a flag, you guys want him?” and then Wasp is all “Gee, if only Thor was here then it'd be like a class reunion”
...to which no one responds to her. ...Because it was the 60s...
Then later the police show up and they hand over Chameleon. Then Janet's like “Oh man woah Pepper, your hair looks like you just walked through a cement cloud” and Pepper is all like “Not cool dude! I'm not a two-dimensional damsel like Silver Age Lois Lane! Shut up I'm leaving! No one look at my hair! You all suck! Especially you Janet!”
After that Cap and Tony make up, shake hands, and part ways.
Then the very last panel, which is actually quite inspiring, Iron Man is hunched over like Auguste Rodin's The Thinker and says (direct quote): “I was too easily fooled by The Chameleon's story! It was unpardonably careless of me! Sometimes I grow overconfident in my super-powered armor! I must always remember President Johnson's favorite Motto, 'Let us reason together! For a man's brain is still his most potent weapon!'”

Now I know I gave this book a lot of flack, but it was actually really good if you consider the time it came out in! It's about four or five years into the Silver Age and rather than doing kooky stories like DC was at the time, Marvel had some great concepts with themes like internal struggles and morals that get their heroes into danger! I mean all Iron Man wanted to do was help his friend out, and screwed it all up, then in the end he realizes he's made a mistake and that's pretty cool for a comic from the 60s! All thanks of course to Stan, rest his soul.
The art is also pretty great too! Don Heck illustrates some really neat panels during the fight scenes, plus some great close-up's of Iron Man's helmet too. All while on the outside, Jack Kirby's cover is spectacular!
