The stop at Honningsvåg allows to reach by bus the North Cape located about thirty km in the north of the island of Magerøya.
The North Cape is almost (the true one is a few kilometers but less majestic) the northernmost point in Europe (north latitude 71° 10' 21''). The cliff is 307 meters high.
Very variable weather with snow storms alternating with sunshine.

L’arrêt à Honningsvåg permet de rejoindre en bus le Cap Nord situé une trentaine de km au nord de l’île de Magerøya.
Le Cap Nord est presque (le vrai est à quelques kilomètres mais il est moins majestueux) le point le plus septentrional d’Europe (latitude nord 71° 10’ 21’’). La falaise est haute de 307 mètres.
Temps très variable avec tempêtes de neige alternant avec des éclaircies.

Here is an image of Cap Canaille, which dominates over the town of Cassis, near to Les Calanques. The photo was taken in the early evening from one of the beaches, which I think gives the photo a quite nice light, and as this is of course Provence in summer, the sky is perfectly clear. Taken in the evening, a lot of the tourists had gone leaving the picture quite free of people and swimmers. Though I am unsure of this, I think I remember reading somewhere that Cap Canaille is that red shade because it was made of the same type of rock that is commonly found in Corsica and parts of Sardinia, which can also be seen with the distinctive red shade there. There is a famous painting of the headland by Paul Signac.

it also always feels awesome to start and finish a project in a matter of days. the pattern for this is pretty simple, and i think i might make a few more before the season is through!

Snow capped mountains and two Happy Little Trees.
This hike at Arapaho National Forest started off as just your average (though rather difficult) hike in the beautiful woods. We kept passing people with huge backpacks and walking sticks and hiking gear coming the other way.. towards us... We didn't even stop to consider that we looked nothing like them, with no food or provisions or gear... we just said "hi" and kept walking. We were looking for a lake that was on the map (which we never found.) Eventually, it turned into the "we almost died hike of doom," but it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
