This shot, captured through the wire fence, is an example of the current drought conditions in North Vancouver. HFF!

This is the reservoir where the greater Vancouver area gets its pure water from.

I took this at Capilano River Regional Park in North Vancouver, just south of the dam. 2018-08-25. From a High Dynamic Range photography workshop. First real time for me trying it. Not bad for a first go 'round. What does it say that I first spelled it damn? Post processed in Capture One Pro 11. The purpose of HDR photography is to capture a wider range of light than one would normally be able to with a single image. With HDR, you might be able to see into the forest more, and at the same time see more details in the lighter portions of the frame. FWIW, there was a steady light drizzle the whole time. This area is technically classified as temperate rain forest. Rain forest. Taught by @massimobassano and @myriamcasper. Check out their workshops. 2018-08-25.

I was privaledged today to be able to help service some equipment at work and ended up in one of the most beautiful winter wonderlands that I've ever been in, just north of Vancouver. Was quite the winter wonderland. It was cold though, I'm glad I still have my toes! Note to self, warmer socks next time.

I miss those sunny days.

Wish you a great day too!

This was taken in 2011.

We have another sunny and warm day in the Easter weekend.

I went to Capilano River Regional Park in North Vancouver this morning. This is the park where Capilano Lake and Cleveland Dam are situated.

It is only 30 minutes drive from the city and we can see beautiful scenics of the lake.

The beautiful Capilano Lake can be easily viewed just right at the entrance of the park.

This view is 5 minutes walk from the parking lot.

I feel blessed to be living in Vancouver!

A cold day today, they say we can expect more snow tonight!
