I took this at Capilano River Regional Park in North Vancouver, just south of the dam. 2018-08-25. From a High Dynamic Range photography workshop. First real time for me trying it. Not bad for a first go 'round. What does it say that I first spelled it damn? Post processed in Capture One Pro 11. The purpose of HDR photography is to capture a wider range of light than one would normally be able to with a single image. With HDR, you might be able to see into the forest more, and at the same time see more details in the lighter portions of the frame. FWIW, there was a steady light drizzle the whole time. This area is technically classified as temperate rain forest. Rain forest. Taught by @massimobassano and @myriamcasper. Check out their workshops. 2018-08-25.
Supplies much of the drinking water to Vancouver.
This was done a little while ago the fall colour may be more vibrant now.
Time for another trip

Late afternoon sunlight peeks through the dark forest in Capilano River Regional Park, North Vancouver, Canada
I was privaledged today to be able to help service some equipment at work and ended up in one of the most beautiful winter wonderlands that I've ever been in, just north of Vancouver. Was quite the winter wonderland. It was cold though, I'm glad I still have my toes! Note to self, warmer socks next time.
The first rays of sunshine hit the fresh snow on the #BritishProperties in West Vancouver. That little bump with snow covered trees is high above the south west corner of Capilano Lake. Snow capped Crown Mountain is in the distance. Captured Wednesday morning from the highest spot in Stanley Park with breathtaking views at Prospect Point in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada ~ February 14, 2018 ❄❄
I miss those sunny days.
Wish you a great day too!
This was taken in 2011.
We have another sunny and warm day in the Easter weekend.
I went to Capilano River Regional Park in North Vancouver this morning. This is the park where Capilano Lake and Cleveland Dam are situated.
It is only 30 minutes drive from the city and we can see beautiful scenics of the lake.
The beautiful Capilano Lake can be easily viewed just right at the entrance of the park.
This view is 5 minutes walk from the parking lot.
I feel blessed to be living in Vancouver!
It is a manmade lake located in the District of North Vancouver and West Vancouver in BC. It is basically a reservoir supplying drinkable water to the Greater Vancouver Area.
The twin peaks to the left are known as The Lions.
Vancouver BC. Please note that the image is stitched together from two full frame images. Flickr generally does not like dealing with images of that size
Got here 30 minutes before closing and the light was disappearing fast. Been here many times before, but this is the best photo I've taken of the bridge. I like how the trees seem to swallow the bridge and the drama the light creates of the scene.
