The power that Brought Cape Cod Scenic Railroad train #101 to Sagamore from Hyannis Mass.is seen here running around its train sitting next the the Bourne Canal. Train #102 will be headed back to Hyannis shortly. The FP10's on this train were retired by MBTA and then leased by the MBTA to the Cape Cod Scenic. #1100 was built for the GM&O in 12-1946 as F3A 805A. #1114 was built for the GM&O in 06-1947 as their F3A #811A. That Great Northern Railway paint scheme with that Omaha Orange was always one of my favorites. Howard Kent Jr. 07-22-1992.

Cape Cod Scenic Railroad's GP9 1823 at Hyannis Mass. on 07-20-1992. !823 was used in dinner train service along with FP10 1101 with 1823 serving as a control car only and not supplying any tractive effort. At this time it was still unlettered and supposedly up for sale. Built as Great Northern 671 in 04-1954,it then became Burlington Northern 1823,and then MBTA 1924 before going to Cape Cod Scenic. That orange stripe looks a lot like GN's Omaha Orange. Howard Kent Jr.
