Todays challenge for the daily shoot was, Pick an everyday subject and get as close as you can to it. Make a photograph and post it!
I dont actually have many everyday items in my office at the moment as I have packed almost everything away in boxes as I am moving to a new building shortly, so I thought the backpack I carry around to and from work and pretty much whenever we go out anywhere on weekends is an everyday item for me, and thhen got in real close for these shots
The chipmunk, a small striped little rodent, takes a break on an old log while searching for food to stuff its cheek pouches. Applied a canvas texture after processing to create some woodland art.

Don works all over Winchester painting on commission. The first time I met him, he agreed to participate in my stranger's portrait project. Since then I have often met him by chance and been lucky enough to see some of his paintings developing.
I recently met him near the cathedral beginning a painting which he says will take a further 20 days to complete.
He used to be a keen amateur photographer with his own darkroom and moved here from Lancashire where he worked as an industrial chemist, also an IT manager.

Back to an old favourite subject. I couldn't help but grab the camera and rush out again when I saw the colour in the sky.
A bluebird that stopped by the feeders in my yard then flew to the edge of the property and landed on a tree limb.
The bird, so delicate and soft, created quite the contrast with the harshness of the tree that I nearly deleted the photo.
After a little thought, I decided to try a soft effect on the photo and apply a light canvas texture to make it a little more appealing. Glad I kept it!
this is my third edit of this, I feel it's special but the sky is blown out so with my limited Photoshop knowledge I'm trying to bring some of it back. I actually tried canceling this upload bc im working on a fourth edit and I thought it did cancel then Ken commented and faved it - surprise to me - thanks Ken! :)
wish me luck, I hope the next one isn't supremely better lol or I may post it twice!
'' Where is My Artist?''
Where is my Artist?
Maybe she's busy,
I think she's weary,
Maybe she's bored,
and maybe she dont like me anymore,
I feel so plain when she's not around,
coz she puts color on my life.
Her brush take away my tears when I cry, and caress my face until I smile.
I miss my artist every moment of the day,
Please comeback and paint my love in anyway..

It’s a little too... abstract to me. The mountains look good, but the trees are a complete fail😆 I think I used too big of a brush on them
