This infra red shot takes a look up at the forest canopy. In the foreground the tree ferns stand at least 5 metres high. They can grow for several hundred years.
This beautiful arch of branches over the edge of the River Limmat in Zurich was just too tempting for a shot. I had to wait a fair amount of time before this busy walkway was clear to get this one.

Behind the Cudlee Creek Cafe on the Gorge Road in South Australia is this lovely picnic area - particularly so in autumn.

There’s something special that happens for me when I look up in the forest. I wish you a happy day with oodles of nature 💖
This short pathway through the forest, also had a canopy of colour that helped create a tunnel effect. The Park maintenance crew had just finished blowing leaves off the path, leaving the it somewhat barren and more evident. Ideal for this shot.
The day was also overcast, allowing the suns rays to periodically penetrate the covering. Slight shadows of little contrast aided by generating depth in the shot. It becomes a visual delight that results in a peaceful walk through nature.

I shot this on the June Lake Loop last month while shooting with friends. We all took turns laying down in this spot for the standard straight-up fall color shot. Darn near everyone has one or two of these shots but I dig the way this one turned out. The tree's were more dense in this area than anywhere else I could find and they still had a decent amount of color. Hope you all like it!
At first, I thought I was fighting to save rubber trees, then I thought I was fighting to save the Amazon rainforest. Now I realize I am fighting for humanity.

Standing under a large tree looking out of the backlit canopy of leaves reaching down to touch the ground in front of me, at the Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens.
Taken in Eskdale Cumbria from the wooded garden while being told to leave by an Owl coming closer and louder by the second.
I like the way the branches from this stand of oak trees seemed to be lifting up the canopy to let in the morning sunlight. In Pepper Wood; owned by the Woodland Trust, and managed by the local community.
