Since I live in Fremont, I decided to scout some new locations for the wonderful sunrises we have had this week. I found this spot and have been shooting there a few times. This morning when I got outside I saw a beautiful cloud formation approaching from the northwest. Problem was, it was not where I wanted to be - close to the Mission Peak hills. I decided to go there anyway and give it a shot. I am glad I did - photography is all about waiting for the right conditions. As I set up, the clouds moved in closer to the hills and now I could get them into the frame I envisioned.

For my first trip there on a freezing morning, which created totally different brilliant gold lighting conditions check out this image from 500px.com: 500px.com/photo/3999230

Lake Louise, August 2012

From Providence Rhode Island. Providence is a great city and has so much to offer. They offer a lot of neat neighborhoods to visit and a gorgeous downtown area with little shops and restaurants. Waterfire is held during the summer and I highly recommend it.

To me Swaledale is perhaps the most beautiful and most traditional of the Dales valleys, in no small part due to its array of barns. This image was taken high up from the Buttertubs Pass and gives an overview of the central part of the Dale.
