Anyone Want A Candy Heart? by Josh Harper

I tried an earlier shot like this with matches and I "liked" the result, but I didn't "love" the result so I had to try again. For this attempt, I used a spray bottle to create the water drops. The drops formed much better this way as opposed to dropping water from a straw. As for the subject matter, it is almost valentine's day so I went with those candy hearts with the stupid little messages on them. An example of some of the messages: "EMail", "Got Love", "All Star", "Be Cool", "Dream", "Lover Boy", and "Hug Me". That is just a small sample set.

My baby's working late...

And I'm trying not to get upset 'cause he's not here, but it's hard. Really. I want him to be proud of me, that I had a great evening on my own, and I'm not crying or anything, but when he's not arround, unexpected, It's like the room is getting smaller, the ceiling is falling down, and I just don't know how to handle it. I try not to panic. I am doing good. I'm not breaking down.

I hope he'll come home, because he may have to stay in Amsterdam in a hotel. (if he misses the latest train)

I wish I could not think of bad things that might happen. I'm just not ready not to.

Just take a deep breath and relax.

The candy heart with 'baby' on it fell out of my hand just when the camera took this photo.

I can trust him. He's someone to trust.

Tomorrow I have to babysit again, I am still not sure if it isn't a little too much to have an obligation every week. I have my doubts.
