Turning my garden into Candy Cane Lane...
I wish you all, my lovely Flickr Friends a very merry Christmas. I have so many other fun Christmassy images to post, but we are now at Christmas Eve, so much to do here, prepping food, guests coming and going, dog walk, a fair few drinks and a few last pressies to wrap, so, if I don't get chance to post anymore Christmas images before the big day, then I will see you over Christmas and the New Year, have a great Winter Holiday and a Merry Christmas from Debbie ~ KissThePixel2019
Candy Cane Lane is famous in our city for the beautiful Christmas lights.
Processing: levels on the front figures to recover detail as they were slightly overexposed in order to get some detail on the house.
Some of the cats decided to take a walk among the candycanes. Notice the knocked over ones? Hmm! I wonder who did that?
Last night was our second annual Christmas Tree Lane meetup in Alameda. Thank you to the many, many people who came out. Hope to see the rest of you next year.
Seen at Cathedral City Candy Cane Lane near Palm Springs, California. Edited for Sliders Sunday using Deep Dream Generator and Snapseed. HSS everyone!

Well I'd better get this out of the way and post these today for the time before Christmas is short and everybody is very busy traveling, shopping, baking etc...
I wish you all a wonderful, peaceful and happy Christmas!!
A fun walk with the family down "Candy Cane Lane". A small neighbourhood that has come together over the years to create a winter wonderland for the community to enjoy! Merry Christmas!
This quite the experience! Anyone in the Eagle / Boise area looking for a jolt of Christmas, check out Candy Cane Lane. Merry Christmas!!! 😊🎄

An image taken a few years ago at Forest Oak Drive aka ‘Candy Cane Lane’, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Happy Christmas to all.
Darek has today & tomorrow off. We spent the majority of the day relaxing around the house but at night we took our traditional Christmas visit to Candy Cane Lane (aka Minerva Road) in Cathedral City. There weren't as many decorated houses as there have been, and those didn't that were didn't seem as elaborate. But it was still nice being out with Darek, seeing the lights and even hearing the occasional child joy sounds.
We stopped at McDonalds and picked up supper on our way home.
Another lavishly decorated house in Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo, California. Nicer large.
HDR using 7 exposures, ISO 100, 28mm, f22. Tonemapped using Photomatix Details Enhancer. In PS used surface blur to snooth out the halo around the trees. Nik Pro Contrast, Tonal Contrast. Nik Viveza an the snowman and penguins to make them white and the peace sign to make it brighter. In PS curves with luminosity mask.

Christmas lights on an old Ford pickup truck, San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, CA.
Displaying holiday lights on lawns & homes in this San Fernando Valley neighborhood, known as Candy Cane Lane, has been a tradition since 1952.
We came to know of this local spectacle when my wife happened to stumble upon this on MSN news' Must-see December 2013 slideshow
In The Neighbourhood
This is a few doors down from where I live. Our neighbour's put out these candy canes every Christmas and I thought they'd be perfect backdrop for today's Challenge.
Happy holidays to my flickr friends. Best of luck for the New Year and new dacade.
I've been busy doing nothing. Feels great. I've neglected your photostreams too, but will visit soon. Nicer large.
I shot this one on Christmas Day in Candy Cane Lane in our home town of El Segundo. Candy Cande Lane is the last block of Acacia Ave, a cul de sac where all the neighbors decorate their houses. The police closes the street to traffic, and lots of people come to visit. The owners pay the electricity bills :(
This is an HDR of 8 shots at ISO 800, 28mm, f22 (the ISO 800 was unintentional). Shot while the sky was still pretty bright but the lights were already on. Processed using Photomatix Details Enhancer, Imagenomic Noiseware and Nik White Neutralizer, Pro Contrast, Tonal Contrast and a touch of Glamour Glow. In PS enhance contrast using a lumniosity mask and then brighten the whole image. I've tried to shoot Candy Cane Lane every year and I was never happy with the results. This year I shot before it got dark, and it worked much better.
sure made me grin :)
it's the side of a display in a grocery store :):)

One of the best part of holiday season here in Edmonton is the decorations that adorn houses during that time. One of the best places to see them is Candy Cane Lane. Bring a donation for Edmonton Food Bank and you can take your family for a walk (or drive, if the cold is a bit too much for you) and enjoy colorful display of lights and variety of Christmas decorations.
That's what we did last Saturday evening. It was freezing, but so enjoyable!! If you ever need a little help to lift your Christmas spirit you will definitely find it here :D
