Inspired by Jess www.flickr.com/photos/jyy_sue/51822260020/in/faves-289922... and having run out of light. I decided to revisit an image I took a few years ago. It was a MM challenge for lighting an image with candlelight. This image is different as I used my Lensbaby Velvet 56 (it was already on my camera) less candles and a different composition. I also took a shot of the background and used it as a texture overlay.

Macro of an antique compass. Apt photo this for in 2018 as I’m looking for a new direction myself! I quit my job of nearly 12 years back in mid November to try and get back a respectable work / life balance and have a few opportunities lined up for the New Year.
Didn’t get the chance to participate in many MM’s last year so I’ve done a double redux of Candlelit and side lit.

I don't have any Halloween decorations, but my daughter's family is totally into it. The girls helped out by choosing the pumpkin stencil they wanted. Sweet little 3 yr old Emmie insisted on the one in the middle!! The trio are lined up on their front steps. I'd say my SIL is quite the master carver - HLCoF!

This is the stopper on a crystal decanter lit entirely by the flame of one candle. The candle is right alongside the camera, and you can see at least one reflection in various smooth areas. The width covers an areas of just under two inches. For Macro Mondays theme Lit by Candlelight.
