In the new church of Vallsjö - inaugurated in 1895, and built in Neo-Gothic style (really unusual in this part of the country). This church was built to replace the medieval church of Vallsjö, which was much smaller. Today the choice of place can look a bit weird, since the church is sitting at the outskirts of Sävsjö, a much larger place than Vallsjö. But when the church was built, things were different and Sävsjö just starting to grow after the railway had reached the place. So the place was chosen as a compromise between those who wanted to have it in Sävsjö, and those who wanted it next to the old church (the place now is 4 kilometres away, as the crow flies, from the old one - and a bit longer than that if you want to actually stick to a road).

Erythrina Speciosa is a native tree of Brazil and often cultivated and introduced in Africa and India. It is pollinated by bees and hummingbirds. Popularly used for gardening and landscaping due to its showy flowers, ease of growth and small size.
Also knowing as Mulungu do Litoral (Coastline Mulungu) or Eritrina Candelabro (Erythrina Candelabrum).
El salón de baile presenta la particularidad de tener una tribuna para los músicos escondida tras una celosía para que estos pudieran hacer sonar sus instrumentos pero no ver al público de la sala. Toda la decoración tiene un carácter suntuoso como corresponde a la función de este ámbito. Así, los grandes espejos contribuyen a dar una mayor amplitud a la sala y multiplicar el efecto de las luces de las velas. Destaca también el mobiliario con un sofá central y banquetas y los apliques y candelabros originales del palacio del siglo XIX. El techo está decorado con la pintura “El consorcio de Valencia y Don Jaime por la Religión”, obra de Salustiano Asenjo fechada en 1866.
The ballroom has the particularity of having a gallery for the musicians hidden behind a latticework so that they could play their instruments but not see the audience in the room. All the decoration has a sumptuous character as befits the function of this area. Thus, the large mirrors help to give a greater amplitude to the room and multiply the effect of the candlelight. Also noteworthy is the furniture with a central sofa and stools and the original sconces and chandeliers from the 19th century palace. The ceiling is decorated with the painting "The consortium of Valencia and Don Jaime for Religion", a work by Salustiano Asenjo dated 1866.
El saló de ball presenta la particularitat de tenir una tribuna per als músics amagada després d'una gelosia perquè poguessin fer sonar els seus instruments però no veure el públic de la sala. Tota la decoració té un caràcter sumptuós com correspon a la funció daquest àmbit. Així, els grans miralls contribueixen a donar més amplitud a la sala i multiplicar l'efecte de les llums de les espelmes. Destaca també el mobiliari amb un sofà central i banquetes i els aplics i canelobres originals del palau del segle XIX. El sostre està decorat amb la pintura “El consorci de València i Don Jaime per la Religió”, obra de Salustiano Asenjo datada el 1866.

Die 4 kleinen bunten Geburtstagskerzen stehen in einem Kerzenhalter für Teelichter. Der Kerzenhalter hat vor dem Teelicht eine Glasscheiben und hinter dem Teelicht einen Spielgel, dadurch vervielfälltigen sich die Kerzen und die Flamen! ;-))

La salle de bal, dite parfois « galerie Henri II », longue de 30 m et large de 10 m, a une superficie qui dépasse 300 m2. À l'origine (sous François Ier), elle était une simple loggia (réalisée sous la direction de Gilles Le Breton) qui ouvrait sur la cour Ovale et les jardins, et qui devait être couverte d'une voûte en berceau, comme en attestent les piles de consoles de retombée des arcs. François Ier puis Henri II décident de la transformer en une grande salle de réception et d'apparat pour y organiser les fêtes royales. La conception de la salle est confiée à l'architecte Philibert Delorme.
Les peintures dont les dessins furent réalisés par le Primatice et exécutées en fresque par Nicolò dell'Abbate et son équipe, décorant la salle de bal, s'inspirent pour la plupart de la mythologie gréco-romaine.
The ballroom, sometimes called the "Henri II Gallery", is 30 m long and 10 m wide and has a surface area of over 300 m2. Originally (under Francis I), it was a simple loggia (designed under the direction of Gilles Le Breton) which opened onto the Cour Ovale and the gardens, and which was to be covered by a barrel vault, as attested to by the piles of brackets at the end of the arches. Francis I and then Henry II decided to transform it into a large reception and ceremonial room for royal celebrations. The design of the hall was entrusted to the architect Philibert Delorme.
The paintings in the ballroom, designed by Primaticcio and executed in fresco by Nicolò dell'Abbate and his team, are mostly inspired by Greco-Roman mythology.
La cheminée de la salle dessinée par Philibert Delorme repose sur deux atlantes en bronze moulé représentant des satyres, moulages d'antiques conservés au musée du Capitole, peints et dorés en 1556 par Guillaume Rondel. Fondus à la Révolution, ils ont été refaits à Rome en 1966. Durant ce temps, ils furent remplacés en 1805 par des colonnes en plâtre de Percier et Fontaine. La cheminée est également décorée du chiffre « H » de Henri II mêlé aux deux « C » entrecroisés de Catherine de Médicis, ainsi que des représentations d'arcs, de flèches, de carquois, de fleurs de lys et des emblèmes de l'ordre de Saint-Michel. Les lustres néo-renaissance sont l'œuvre de Soyer et Ingé, en 1837.
The mantelpiece of the room designed by Philibert Delorme rests on two cast bronze atlantes representing satyrs, casts of antiques kept in the Musée du Capitole, painted and gilded in 1556 by Guillaume Rondel. Melted down during the Revolution, they were remade in Rome in 1966. During this time, they were replaced in 1805 by plaster columns by Percier and Fontaine. The mantelpiece is also decorated with the figure "H" of Henri II mixed with the two intersecting "C "s of Catherine de Medici, as well as representations of bows, arrows, quivers, fleurs de lys and the emblems of the Order of Saint Michael. The neo-renaissance chandeliers were designed by Soyer and Ingé in 1837.
Como ya sabéis los árboles trasmochos tienen esa forma de candelabro porque antiguamente ante la necesidad de madera para las carboneras y para la industria naval, se cortaban a unos 2 metros para aprovechar su madera sin tener que talarlos, así crecían con más fuerza y esa curiosa forma. En este caso la mano del hombre no fue tan negativa. Saludos
