The giant rock formations, Acantilados de Los Gigantes, rise from the sea to a height of 500-800 metres.

Los Gigantes means "The Giants".

El Drago, also known as Drago Milenario and Drago de Icod de los Vinos, is the oldest and largest living specimen of Dracaena draco, or dragon tree, in Parque del Drago, Icod de los Vinos, Tenerife, Spain. It is said to be a thousand years old, although the age is disputed.

The great lump in the background is the summit of Guajara, one of the peaks that surrounds Mount Teide on Tenerife. I had dragged Mark away from the beach for this hike and with such first class weather we ended up staying until sundown before we made our trackless descent.
