Horseshoe Falls, also known as Canadian Falls, is the largest of the three waterfalls that collectively form Niagara Falls on the Niagara River along the Canada–United States border. Approximately 90% of the Niagara River, after diversions for hydropower generation, flows over Horseshoe Falls. The remaining 10% flows over American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. It is located between Terrapin Point on Goat Island in the US state of New York, and Table Rock in the Canadian province of Ontario. (Wikipedia)

The 40.5-mile-long St. Clair is a river in North America which drains Lake Huron into Lake St Clair. It forms part of the international boundary between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of Michigan.
So, of the 250+ shots I took, this is one of the few that I'm pleased with.
It's a majestic sight, well worth its reputation and awe inspiring.
The tide is high and the beach is busy, although most people are walking the beach's side walk on shore. At low tide most of this visible water area is all sand.
Those are the Cascade Mountains off in the distance in North Western Washington but they do span right up into Canada and here we're looking south east. Mount Baker, also in the USA, is just off the photo to the left.
To the extreme right and off photo is Blaine, Washington USA.
The USA border crossing is visible across the water. The big white structure is the Peace Arch and is right on the border line between Canada and the USA.

Crossing the border into Canada from the USA across Rainbow Bridge.
To get to Canada from the USA, cross Rainbow Bridge from Niagara Falls, New York USA into Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada. To leave the United States of America, walk through a self locking metal turnstile gate without needing to show any id at this point, half way across the Rainbow Bridge there is a bronze plaque on the bridge fence indicating the United States / Canada International Boundary Line, this area is also notated with the Canadian flag flying next to the USA flag. To enter Canada after crossing the International Boundary Line you must show your passport to customs agents before entering the country of Canada, there is no fee for this process but when you want to cross the same bridge back into the USA there is a .50 cent fee.
Walking across Rainbow Bridge takes under10 minutes, the time to show your passport to the agent at the Canadian border and the agents at the USA when returning to The United States of America cannot be determined as the time varies based on how many border agents or people trying to enter the country at any given time.
There are excellent views of Niagara Falls from both the USA and Canada, but they are both very different, the view of the falls from Canada shows a more natural less built up look, where as the view of Niagara Falls from the USA shows more of a city built up look.

We took a trip to Niagara Falls yesterday to visit some friends and of course to see the falls. We live only an hour and a half from the falls, but these are the first really good photos I have ever taken of them. it was a very cold day and somewhat overcast. However the sun would come out once in a while and lucky for me I was there to capture the sun, at the precise moment, as it was hitting the spray rising from the cascading and thundering falls. The photo doesn't do the light justice. It was really rather magical - you know - like one of those ahh moments.

Here, we will visit the Olympic Stadium and Tower, Mount Royal, and St. Josephs Oratory before checking into the hotel for the night.

Mount Royal This hill in Montreal, Quebec is the namesake of the entire city and an important cultural, environmental, and historical landmark. The top of the so-called mountain is Mount Royal Park, one of the area's largest forested areas.
St. Josephs Oratory The current 10,000-person structure was built in 1917, and it has been Canada's largest church ever since. The basilica is also considered a national shrine, a title which signifies a place of special religious, cultural, and historical importance.
