My shelter and my home, even when is pouring down with rain! ♄

On a cold dark winter's night we can all dream of white sand, exotic seashells, and a perfect summer sky above. Imagination, and Photoshop too, can take us there 😊

Rain pours down over a city

Night has fallen like a stone

Are you gone or are you with me?

In my heart I'll never know

If I close my eyes I'll see you

Hear your footsteps in the rain

In my dream I'll never find you

but I'll hear you call my name

As I tread through crowds of people

Trying to keep from looking back

Got your sense on something passing

And it sends me off my track

Do I find you will I follow

To forever and a day

I can feel you in the distance

But you seem so far away

What if I just can't find my way back home (ooh)

What about all the things I just don't don't know (ooh)

What if I just can't find my way back home (ooh)

Would you be there to show me where to go (ooh)

...don't let it become stories to your grandsons....

After spending quite a few wonderful minutes in this dramatic landscape getting beautiful sunrise shots, I couldn't resist walking down the slopes to catch the sunlight through the holes in the pinnacles.

Can you please crawl out your window is a. Bob Dylan song sung by Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey on my playlist. I think the generally wild and windy week had made these special moments just dazzle.

This is the best photo of an American Robin I've ever taken. See if you can find it. A great opportunity during sunset color recently.

22nd February 2016 - A shot of the sunset over Canning Dock in Liverpool. Unfortunately I left the iso at 2000 so had to lean heavily on the Luminescence slider in RAW converter. Still a nice shot I think...

Where it all started, or where you can find out how it started.

There are stories that should not be forgotten... Well, perhaps we should never forget. From memories, from the past and from our history we learn. Today I begin to record the result of my investigations. A task that has taken me a year, a long year of wandering between the shelves of the Carnelian Archive, where all the Fairlands chronicles are kept. The dust, the smell of leather, paper and history have been my faithful companions in this search, which is now over. It was something personal, yes. It has already been lost in time and in the silence of my relatives over the years, but I needed to know the truth. And the truth, like a polished diamond with countless faces, is not as simple as they imagined. There is no good or bad, but a mixture of the two whose balance maintains the Universe. Anyway, this is not the time to ramble. I think I should pick up the scattered fragments, hinted at in these flickr posts, and tell the whole story, though maybe not the whole truth, who knows....

This weekend my hiking trip took me a few kilometers up River Weser than my home area in and around the pittoreske town of Rinteln. Similar to the previous two weeks the weather was mild, nature was green and no sign of Winter. Rinteln, Lower Saxony, Germany

Because of this song: I can change - Lake Street Dive

Lake Street Dive is one of my favorite bands... such talented musicians and Rachel's voice is so flawless.

this song is one of their slow and thoughtful and clever songs and I was mesmerized by the video ...

hate casts a long shadow

I know that I lie in it

and let it rule my mind from time to time

escaping an old battle

clings on like a vine to me

whispers dirty lies in my ear

I know, we didn't start this fight

and I won't let it rule my heart tonight

I can change

I can change

I can still change

I can still change

tracing an old pattern

drawing the lines from where I am

and from where I wanna be

forget that old adage

the history continues to

keep us from the world we wanna see

I am scared that I won't get it right

but fear won't rule my heart tonight

I can change

I can change

I can still change

I can still change...

I could really use a wish right now.

A wish right now.

Fresh new kicks, and pants

You gotta like that, now you know you wanna dance

So move, outta your seat

And get a fly girl and catch this beat

While it's rolling, hold on

Pump a little bit and let 'em know it's going on

Like that, like that

Cold on a mission so fall them back

Let 'em know, that you're too much

And this is a beat, uh, they can't touch

Pacing in the dark with

thousands of thoughts racing through my head.

A trail of cigarette butts in my wake.

Sighs and gives up any hope of sleep this night.

"I can stand a little rain;

I can stand a little pain;

But when the rain comes to the floorboard,

I can stand a little rest."

"I Still Can See Your Face"

At least one moment everyday

I hear the echo of your voice

And though it's only in my mind,

It stays with me, I have no choice

I reached for you as if you're here

Your tender touch, your warm embrace

And though it's been so many years

I still can see your face

Sure, start on your journey.

But you are so far away...

No, we just took some steps down the road. It's the journey that matters.

I know... but I still want to touch the clouds...

One day... some day...

Don't forget that the journey matters, the moments on the road and the other travelers you'll meet on your journey will define you...

The moments you want to stop and go back but you take one more step... those are the moments that get you closer to the clouds...

One day... some day...

Continued from I see clouds...
