I was able to have a lesson in night shooting with Jon Blake and Brad McGinley this past weekend We sized up several possibilities for the best results and this was the winner. I know there were some other locations that maybe we could have seen the Milky Way, but Molas is about my all time favorite. This is a stunning area!

My husband is a farm labourer for a Mennonite family. Every year in the summer the family hosts a BBQ which the employees and their families are invited to attend. The food is all homemade and always tastes amazing!! The dinner rolls are my most favourite. I’ve never had such warm, soft dinner rolls like these before. 😂 Afterwards we sat around a campfire. It was quite chilly tonight - perfect for a campfire. This is the third year that this family has hosted a summer BBQ and it never disappoints.

A cold and clear night at the Camp Rose Campground near Tahoe, the fire burning brightly in the sky illuminated the pines. I'm still learning to tinker with my camera on astrophotography settings and trying to master this difficult art style called photography.
