Ghostly.

Smoke from a fire adds to the atmosphere in the afternoon light.

Miss Llewella Davies Pioneer Walkway.

In 2016 Camden Council in conjunction with Camden Town Farm management committee was successful in being awarded a Metropolitan Greenspace grant to build the Llewella Davies Pioneer Walkway.

The $702,000 walkway received $351,000 in funding through the Metropolitan Greenspace Program, with the rest funded by Council.

Fast forward to 2016 when Camden Council and the Camden Town Farm management committee were given a grant of $351,000 from the Metropolitan Greenspace Program to fund the construction of the Llewella Davies Pioneer Walkway.

Built at a cost of $702,000 Camden Council funded the balance of the required cost to enable the project to be undertaken.

The Walkway which encompasses an overall distance of approximately 2.4 kilometres is contained within the Camden Town Farm and was opened by Camden Mayor Theresa Fidelli on 17th August 2019.

A tree in some nice foggy conditions near my home.

If there is one thing Camden can put on, its a decent fog.

I was exploring out at Camden Town Farm over the long weekend and came up with this image.

The dairy.

This is how a 1960's dairy farm operated.

Llewella Davies was a woman who it seems had two great loves in her life.

One being her life long love of dogs and the other love of her life being the place she called home - Camden.

Throughout her life Llewella Davies dedicated her life to her community and served in many charitable organisations.

She gave so much to the Camden community during her life time yet it would no until her passing in 2000 that she would bequeath to the Camden community her greatest gift, her family's 55 hectare dairy farm.

The farm was left to Camden Council and it is today known as "Camden Town Farm".

Colourful watering cans hang in the tree waiting for the volunteer workers to arrive.
