One more build (or more) on the way.
I noticed Calvin right away as his hat and jacket matched the colors of the Cupcake Construction Company:) He was super easy to approach as his warm smile suggests... I simply said hello! and he noticed my DSLR and wanted to talk about cameras. He plans to buy a Canon for his girlfriend but he was interested in what a Nikon could do and spent a few minutes checking out my shots in the viewfinder. Calvin works at Lids, a hat store next door to where this shot was taken. Luckily, I was able to track him down by phone yesterday because I forgot his name! Calvin wasn't working yesterday but his co-worker was kind enough to remind me of his name. Time to start carrying cards and a pen.
Thanks Calvin!

When I asked Calvin if I could take a portrait, he had no problem having his picture taken, but he hit me with the classic "I hope I don't break your camera. I ain't the most beautiful person."
I replied with "Why do you think I'm on THIS side of the camera? Nobody is asking to take my picture. Besides, you're a hell of a lot nicer than a lot of people I know, and that's more important." And I wasn't just being nice. Calvin is super soft-spoken and ALWAYS grateful for anything I can do.
He asked if he could smoke while I took the picture. Since I'm a nut about people being as natural as possible, I certainly couldn't ask him to put it down.
Our cat Calvin sits at the foot of our bed, where a single beam of sunlight warms him up. He's pure black, but the sun adds some slightly reddish highlights. He's a pretty cool little guy. Calvin!!!
I'm no fashionista by any means but I'm guessing the ck logo on this young lady's gloves stands for Calvin Klein. As for the tag sticking out on her scarf.....well, it must have been a recent purchase to keep warm in the cold. Being quite chilled myself at the time, I can forgive her for that. Niagara Falls does seem to be THE place for selfies and she popped into my frame as I was shooting the plume coming up from the base of the falls.

This is the most awesome picture ever taken. Noa looks just like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. That t-shirt and the glasses just make it. Said it once and I'll say it again, most awsome kid in the world.
