Looking across Derwent Reservoir in the Peak District. On this calm day it appears like glass before it disappears over the edge of the dam and down the cascading drop at the other side.

Parking by the restaurant at Otter Ferry, on the Cowal peninsula, we walked away from the masses for some peace and tranquillity by Loch Fyne.
Between Fires and Floods on Mother Earth, we need some calming relief. Prayers for those affected by disasters and for the relief workers.

The Afon Glaslyn is a river in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. While not of great significance in terms of its length, it is one of Gwynedd's primary rivers, and has greatly influenced the landscape in which it flows. It has its source in Glaslyn, a cirque lake on the flanks of Snowdon.
