Marmosets are social creatures, and in this case the male is carrying the kids. This male seemed to be part of a group of black-tufted marmoset (Callithrix penicillata) but to me looks more like buffy-headed marmoset (Callithrix flaviceps). Perhaps it was a mixed group - I have heard of cross-fostering between species. But regardless of species, it was a lovely sight!

Another marmoset species, this time in the mountainous interior of the state of EspÃrito Santo.
From the IUCN Red List: "This species is listed as Endangered due to small population size and ongoing decline. Current estimates of the population are less than 2,500 mature individuals, with no subpopulation greater than 250 individuals. Remaining populations are fragmented."
They are spectacular animals, and not to mention simply adorable, and I hope we can see continue seeing them in the wild such as here.
