The buffy-tufted marmoset (Callithrix aurita), also known as the buffy tufted-ear marmoset or white-eared marmoset, is a New World monkey that lives in the forests on the Atlantic coast of southeast Brazil. Seen in the Rainforest Zone at Universeum, Gothenburg.

Sagui-da-serra, em português.

This photo has a strange color cast and poor contrast because my lens had fogged up when this marmoset appeared unexpectedly. By the time I could wipe the lens, the marmoset had already gone..

Marmosets are fascinating and adorable creatures. They are very small, only a few hundred grams, but have the typical monkey behavior that so often reminds us of ourselves. In the wild, they are quite shy.
