Ferns.

A fern is a member of a group of vascular plants that reproduce via spores and have neither seeds nor flowers.

Ferns are plants that do not have flowers. Ferns generally reproduce by producing spores. Similar to flowering plants, ferns have roots, stems and leaves. ... In the past, ferns had been loosely grouped with other spore-bearing vascular plants, often called “fern allies”.

What is special about ferns?

Ferns are unique in land plants in having two separate living structures, so the ferny plant that we see out in the bush produces spores, and those spores, when they are released, don't grow straight back into a new ferny plant. They grow into a little tiny plant that we call a gametophyte.

probably no choice in a pick-up unless there's that mini-seat in the back. i spent some time hanging out at a horse barn when i was 14 and somebody would always grab shotgun when we went for awful awfuls at bond's.

It's called calm and it cost me many storms.

Calm is called and when it disappears…. I go out again to search for him.

It's called calm and it teaches me to breathe, to think, and to rethink.

It is called calm and when madness tempts it, wild winds are unleashed that are difficult to control.

It is called calm and it comes with the years when the ambition of youth, the loose tongue and the cold belly give way to more silences and more wisdom.

It is called calm when you learn to love well, when selfishness gives way to giving and nonconformity fades to open your heart and soul, giving yourself whole to whoever wants to receive and give.

Calm is called when the friendship is so sincere that all the masks fall and everything can be counted.

It's called calm and the world evades it, ignores it, inventing wars that no one will ever win.

Calm is called when silence is enjoyed, when the noises are not just music and madness but the wind, birds, good company or the noise of the sea.

It is called calm and with nothing you pay, there is no coin of any color that can cover its value when it comes true.

It is called calm and it cost me many storms and I would go through them a thousand times more until I found it again.

It's called calm, I enjoy it, I respect it and I don't want to let go ...

"I'm only one call away

I'll be there to save the day

Superman got nothing on me

I'm only one call away

Call me, baby, if you need a friend

I just wanna give you love

Come on, come on, come on

Reaching out to you, so take a chance

No matter where you go

You know you're not alone

I'm only one call away

I'll be there to save the day

Superman got nothing on me

I'm only one call away

Come along with me and don't be scared

I just wanna set you free

Come on, come on, come one

You and me can make it anywhere

For now, we can stay here for a while, ay

'Cause you know, I just wanna see you smile

No matter where you go

You know you're not alone

I'm only one call away

I'll be there to save the day

Superman got nothing on me

I'm only one call away

And when you're weak I'll be strong

I'm gonna keep holding on

Now don't you worry, it won't be long, Darling

And when you feel like hope is gone

Just run into my arms

I'm only one call away

I'll be there to save the day

Superman got nothing on me

I'm only one, I'm only one call away

I'll be there to save the day

Superman got nothing on me

I'm only one call away

I'm only one call away"

First snow of the season fell last night and this may be the first Slate-Colored Junco of the fall/winter in my yard if in fact it is not a Cassiar Junco. I believe that some consider Cassiar Juncos to be Oregon x Slate-colored Junco intergrades. I should probably just simplify the title and call this bird a Dark-eyed Junco. Comments are welcome. Called by early European arrivals to this country "Parson bird" for obvious reasons though their behaviour does not conform with this description.

They bully other birds quite without a conscience but we love them and they wake us each morning around 4.30 am with their morning songs.

[PT] Entre ruas, sombras e ficções

Contemplo ruas, pessoas e pedras, entre ficções e esquecimentos, inspirado no poeta, talvez, percebo as sombras dos gestos de outros, a poesia do crepúsculo, um desassossego.

[ENG] Between streets, shadows and fictions

I contemplate streets, people and stones, between fictions and oblivion, inspired by the poet, perhaps, I perceive the shadows of the gestures of others, the poetry of twilight, a restlessness.

Waiting for your call, I'm sick, call, I'm angry

Call, I'm desperate for your voice

Listening to the song we used to sing in the car

Do you remember? Butterfly, Early Summer

It's playing on repeat, just like when we would meet

Like when we would meet

I was born to tell you I love you

And I am torn to do what I have to

To make you mine, stay with me tonight

Balborraz Street is one of the oldest streets in Zamora. It is located in the historic centre of the city and begins in the Plaza Mayor. The street is called Balborraz from the Arabic "bab al ras" which translates as "gate of the head". This name comes from the 10th century when the battle known as "Day of Zamora" took place. There was a gate of the same name as the street, opened on the walls and which was demolished in 1555 because it was in danger of collapse. The street has a purely traditional and artisan image. - a flatlay for Saturday Self-Challenge: knolling

In 1987, in the quiet after-hours at Frank Gehry’s furniture shop, as a janitor named Andrew Kromelow cleared up, he would gather stray tools and experiment with arranging them in a grid-like pattern.

He called the practice “knolling,” after the hard angles of Knoll furniture, a popular brand that Gehry was designing for at the time.

Today, knolling more often refers to the art of spacing out objects on a flat surface at tidy angles to one another and photographing the arrangement from above.
