I'm sure something similar was running through the Sandpiper's mind as it approached...or perhaps bodies on the beach? We were flat to the earth enjoying a small flock of Western's walking around us.
I had my 1.7x on and this handsome male popped up front and centre, no time to remove it. The detail it there so feel free to zoom in.
We discovered this magical network of streams while kayaking. The tide would carry us in allowing the four of us to be completely silent while we rode along the narrow channels. We looked up and found the pair of eagles in this magnificent tree watching our movements.
A little meshup of the individual pages of my new photo calendar for next year, which I am creating every year for my own joy and refreshment of memories from our travels. Enjoy :)

Summer, 2018
I knew the Orcas spy hopped but I didn't realize the Humpbacks did this as well. I have to tell you it was like a building was coming out of the water. I pulled my lens in to 120mm to fit it in the frame...definitely the high point of the day! Humpback whales grow to be about 52 feet (16 m) long, weighing 30-50 tons (27-45 tonnes). The females are slightly larger than males, as with all baleen whales. The four-chambered heart of the average humpback whale weighs about 430 pounds (195 kg) - about as much as three average adult human beings.

まさかの初日開始に1分で入れるという奇跡が起こり、
毎年恒例のTrompe Loeil - Advent Calendarをガンガン回してきました。
そんな訳で初日に揃ったんですけど、セラフィムヤード無くなったのかよ？！この余った鍵の山どうするのー！！！というショックでしばらくin率が下がっている内にはや18日に…土地も無かったので昨日慌てて借りました…ｗｗｗ
今年はまさかのお外アイテムも含まれるので一枚のSSでは収まらず初の二枚セットになってます。
てか、わーい、揃ったぞーみたいなポーズがあったんだけど、あれどこいっちゃったんだろなー！

Wakering Photography Group Calendar 2019.
Subject :- The Village of Great Wakering and it’s surrounding Parishes.
My first entry :- This view is looking South from the Southend Road Great Wakering (Locally known as the Oldbury Road) towards North Shoebury Essex.
The building in the centre of the farmland is an old pumping station which I believe is not in use at this present time.
Each WPG member submitted three photographs for the 2019 calendar of which only one could be selected for the calendar.
We had three independent judges, Professional Photographer Clarissa Debenham, Accomplished Photographer Stuart Howell and Photography Enthusiast Paul Bates.

Wakering Photography Group Calendar 2019.
Subject :- The Village of Great Wakering and it’s surrounding Parishes.
My third entry :- "The Broomway" is the historic route to Foulness Island, dating back to Roman times.
It was used as the only way on to Foulness Island before a bridge was built across Havengore Creek, the Broomway could only be accessed at low tide, it was marked by withy’s but could be dangerous at night and in the fog.
The Broomway starts at "Wakering Stairs" on the coast of Essex near Great Wakering, and heads 300 metres out to sea onto the tidal flats of the Maplin Sands.
It then runs for several miles parallel to the coasts of Havengore, New England and Foulness Island, there are several spurs back to farms and MOD slipways on the the island.
Each WPG member submitted three photographs for the 2019 calendar of which only one could be selected for the calendar.
We had three independent judges, Professional Photographer Clarissa Debenham, Accomplished Photographer Stuart Howell and Photography Enthusiast Paul Bates.
I am delighted and humbled that the judges selected this image as one of the twelve for the 2019 calendar.

This image was going to be my chosen one right up until judging time...
A fishing trip that ended up more of a whale watching eperience. The whales were very active that day both Humpbacks and Orcas.
