Coloured computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen of a patient aged 66 showing a calculus (stone, at centre) in the kidney which has caused swelling (dilation) of the renal cavities and a blockage to the ureter (tube) linking the kidney to the bladder. Application of differential calculus When we talk about study of differential calculus, our primary objective is to study about the derivatives of the function. Differential Calculus is the important part of calculus, in which we deal with the change of rate of quantities. Calculus is divided into two main parts, in which one is called as the differentiation calculus other is named as the integral calculus.

God help me, I hope I don't run out of yarn here.

This snapshot is supposed to depict Calculus, my hardest class for this semester. The desire behind this picture is to get past this class in order to continue on towards my desired major. This picture was taken in a Thompson library study room as I was studying for my upcoming midterm. Although Calculus has been extremely difficult for me, I continue to try my best in it in order to be able to obtain desire in my dream job.

Two of the teachers at Beamish Board School in the colliery village at Beamish Museum apply all of their combined wisdom into solving the problem on the slate. Of course they will get it right because, in those days, teachers were always right!!
