Here is the demand function. I am thinking of using it. It is more detailed.

Thankfully with pictures!

My humorous take on nightmares for Flickr Group Roulette's theme day www.flickr.com/groups/oh_mr_sandman/ is moderator for the Widescreen group which I'm already a member. He's awesome and enjoys being a math teacher. Yup. Enjoys it!

As I was prepping for the previous photo of dreamy dancing I found this math book to prop my camera and joby stand on. My boyfriend must have collected this book from somewhere. He's the nerd.

Me? Not so much of a math person. I dropped Calculus in college and took Statistics instead for my major, with unfortunately an odd teacher. Come to think of it I should have paid better attention in class. :)

Ever so often I get those "flashback to school" dreams where I'm in class on a test day to find out I'm failing. Or I wasn't able to drop the class, got an F and have to repeat Calculus all over again. What a nightmare!

Upon finding this 1000+ page book (yup it's that big) about Modern Calculus and Analytic Geometry I knew it must be used. Enjoy the joke!

Aaaah, here are the notes that count.

Prof. Calculus wanted to get in on the portrait theme. He wanted an instant photo.

Who invented calculus Calculus is the branch of mathematics, which refers few important points like: limits, functions, derivatives, integrals etc. Calculus can be classified into two branches Differential Calculus and integral calculus. Calculus is known as infinitesimal calculus which deals with the Integration and differentiation and tasks related to this.

it's not too hard, but still calculus! ew!

They came, they partied, they burnt my calculus book. The physicists peform a quick cull of my book collection at the little eveleigh st house-warming

Tomorrow I take my dreaded Differential Equation's final. I will be happy not to have to always worry about homework and tests, but I really did enjoy this class.

Using Econ 101. Ok maybe Econ 301 at a good school like Queen's

University at Kingston, Ontario in Canada.

How to Solve Calculus Problems can solve differentiation of any arbitrary equation and output the result. It can provide detailed step-by-step solutions to given differentiation problems in a tutorial-like format. On top of these, it can also initiate an interactive quiz in which you can solve differentiation while the computer corrects your solutions. This software is useful for beginner calculus students and can be used to learn differentiation and even practice differentiation by using the interactive quiz.

Yesterday, members of the White House Domestic Policy Council spent the afternoon at MƒA NY to meet with our staff, MƒA teachers and NYC principals to learn more about our program. The White House advisors observed part of the MƒA Calculus Professional Learning Team meeting (pictured here), which gathers a team of MƒA Fellows, Early Career Fellows and Master Teachers on a monthly basis to collaboratively learn, investigate and implement best practices in a particular subject.

This picture will not be completely sensical if you haven't had calculus, and don't worry about that. I include it here because some have, and because it shows you one of the things we'll be learning. Don't stress on this, we'll spend a lot of time on it.

As was seen before, calculating the slope at every point in the data set produced error because each point had measurement error. It would be much better if there was a way to get the slope of every point along the entire best fit equation to generate a new equation. This would be equivalent of getting a tangent line at every single place and getting its slope.

Accomplishing this was the reason that Isaac Newton and Gottfried Liebniz invented calculus. The act of getting a new function that gives us the slope of another function at every single place in its domain is called taking the derivative. The rules for derivatives of polynomials are in white on the left side. As can be seen, taking the derivative of our position graph gives us our velocity graph
