Roshni's Indian Restaurant avoids obvious clichés but delicately balances traditional cultural references with simple functional interior design.
The aesthetic is palatial but restrained, with floor materials being a combination of highly polished Rojo marble and travertine tiles. All joinery is Indian teak veneered and for the final opulence, two illuminated water features backed by iridescent glass tiles dominate the dining spaces.

Petersfield Cottage is an existing thatched cottage on its own island on the Norfolk Broads.
Whilst the client wanted a contemporary building to replace the existing cottage we encouraged an aesthetic that would echo the local vernacular and sit comfortably as a waterside retreat.
The thatch roof was retained as was the weatherboard cladding but the cantilevered gable end was designed to bear semblance to the local boat houses. The decking encircled the whole building and joined the mainland via a foot bridge enabling access to the property even during flooding.
My clients wanted to expand their North London property to accommodate their working practice but separate the living areas.
By building an extension and re-designing the existing layout we were able to create a unique split level living area that opened out into the garden.
The extension of the kitchen worktop from the upper level into the shelf display of the lower lounge provides a visual link between the two spaces allowing them to operate independently.
