"In den Abendstunden des 9. Juli 2011 und nach etwa 500 km Fahrstrecke war die 1. ADAC Rallye AVUS
Classic Geschichte. Alle, die dabei waren, zollten Lob und Anerkennung der interessanten Streckenführung.
Selbst Berliner Urgesteine mussten zugeben, dass viele der wunderschönen und landschaftlich reizvollen
Zwischenstopps in der Berliner Umgebung selbst ihnen bis dato noch nicht bekannt waren.
Der legendäre Asphalt der AVUS-Nordkurve erlebte seine motorsportliche Wiedergeburt, wenn man mal
von den regelmäßig an gleicher Stelle stattfindenden Kart-Slalom-Wettbewerben absieht.
Automobile Schönheiten aus sechs Jahrzehnten fuhren über die Rampe der Erstauflage der classischen
Rallye AVUS. Ein Anfang einer hoffentlich langen Rallye-Geschichte ist gemacht."

My Dad got in a car accident this morning, and his beautiful baby got written off. He was rear-ended by a half ton and the car rolled a couple times and landed on its roof in a ditch. Dad, as seen in photo, is just fine, thankfully. His Cadillac is not, as the engine was running when it flipped, the oil drained and the engine seized. No more Caddy.
