A Georgia Power distribution service pole, with service line, transformer and street light. Located along GA 17 North in Tignall, GA.
We're making this power cable into a "suicide cable." Sounds safe, doesn't it?
Get out the wire strippers. Clip off the end of the cord that doesn't plug into the wall. Peel back the outer insulation to reveal the three cords within. Snip back the green ground cord-- we don't need it. Take the other two wires, white and black in this case, and strip the ends.

The cable guy came by today. I had him pose for this quick portrait.

It's... a power cord! The starting point for all sorts of fun projects that involve electricity and electronics.
In this particular case, we're using it as a power source for
cooking hot dogs. =)
Here's the outcome of a fair effort, both being here for favourable weather/time of year with the sun positioned just so to play the vital role realising my 'vision', and lots of tripod shuffling over the visits to finalise the composition for when that moment eventually came along.
Still not been for a ride over on the thing yet, maybe one day when its not windy!
