It is really hard to find butterfly here in Adelaide, perhaps Australia~ even it is spring time now, but most of the time I only saw this cabbage moth.... :-(

Now I may not know the names of the flowers in my chaotic garden, but I know a Cabbage White butterfly when I see one. Any day now caterpillars will appear in my garden, and I'll know them too.

Pieris rapae is a small- to medium-sized butterfly species of the whites-and-yellows family Pieridae. It is known in Europe as the small white, in North America as the cabbage white or cabbage butterfly, on several continents as the small cabbage white, and in New Zealand simply as the white butterfly.
