View towards west from the observation deck of the new Shanghai Tower, currently the tallest building in Shanghai and the second tallest in the world.
This is the big Huangpu River bend, with the Bund, the mouth of Suzhou Creek and the twin towers of the Shanghai IFC in the lower foreground.
I added some notes to identify buildings or other features in the picture, some of these notes contain links.
And, as usual, flickr wrongly assigns "Hongkou" as location name.

Currently you can experience the peak of the vine leaf coloring in the Ahr Valley. The color red is rare because it is related to a specific grape variety, namely the "Dyer Grape", which is cultivated to give red wine a darker color through admixture.
Aktuell kann man im Ahrtal wieder den Höhepunkt der Weinlaubfärbung erleben. Die Farbe rot kommt selten vor, denn es handelt sich um eine bestimmte Rebsorte, nämlich die "Färbertraube", die angebaut wird, um dem Rotwein eine dunklere Farbe durch Beimischung zu geben.

Fagradalsfjall started erupting on the 19 March 2021.
Fortunately it is currently only threatening a road and Internet connection in the area and there is no imminent threat to live or villages.
The weather in Iceland is highly variable and on the day we planned to see the vulcano, the fog was so heavy you could not see it from a hill opposite. In the evening with the fog lifting we did follow a well established trail taking you to a hill with impressive views opposite the vulcano. The view was something out of the Lord of the Rings. Dark large lava fields with in the middle the vulcano erupting every 20 minutes or so surrounded by smoke. Seeing this around midnight at blue hour was particularly impressive with the dark oranges and reds.
it is thought that the eruption may continue for quite some time and if possible it is quite a sight to visit if you are in Iceland.
A long exposure at Haycock Point near Pambula on the Sapphire Coast NSW. Interesting to see the currents after using a long exposure. I was down on the rock platform earlier but the tide was coming in and later much of the rock platform would be under water. The height above is not as evident in this photo. After the steps there is a sloping rock formation to walk down, which is okay unless you stumble. Much easier climbing back up! The sea is the Tasman. Lee Big Stopper and Little Stopper used.

Fate: Sold to commercial interests. Currently in use as an off shore fishing accommodations resort (2015).
Built by Star Shipyards (Mercer's) Ltd. of New Westminster, BC, in 1944 for the RCAF she was originally named M-468 SONGHEE after the First Nations group Songee. She was an RCAF supply vessel tasked with provisioning and providing personnel transport to RCAF coastal radar outposts. Taken over by the RCN, she became HMCS SONGHEE, pendant number YPT1 / YMR1 for a brief period before transferring to the auxiliary fleet. In 1961 SONGHEE was used to conduct an extensive site survey for the establishment of the Patricia Bay Under Water Range. Removed from service in 1990, she was then sold to commercial interests. In 2011, she was working out of Duncan BC providing charters and tours. SONGHEE, owned by Jim Roome of Vancouver Island, was purchased by QCL in 2012 to be part of their fishing lodge experience. They renamed her MV Driftwood - to maintain the familiarity their customers had with their previous vessel named Driftwood. . It should be mentioned, the the former QCL vessel, MV Driftwood (sold prior to the purchase and renaming of the original SONGHEE), is still in service and her new owners renamed her SONGHEE.

May. Rain has been pounding the Adirondacks for several days, and supersaturated the mountains. Seasonal streams have awakened, runoff and percolation feed the flow, all that water finding it’s lowest level and charging the whole Schroon ecosystem. Some miles below the dam at the lake, the river picks up speed on gradients through boulder fields, now inundated and drowned under the flow. They are immovable, their resistance invisible but for the standing waves throughout the volume. A light mist hovers above the raging current. Standing this close, I can feel the vibration of it’s power, urging my blood pressure higher to match the atmosphere I’m in. Here is spring as allegory to life, the relentless wildness of youth, bursting to race ahead towards that age when you don’t. What I wouldn’t give to truly feel that voltage again, and know the trajectory of where I was headed, instead of treading, spent, looking back at where I’ve come. I stay awhile on the edge of the surge, enjoying the power of the season.

Last week I visited the wildlife park and although I missed the "Bird of Prey Show" I lucked out because the keeper talked to someone he know and I got the chance to ask for some portrait pictures.
Arnside, Cumbria, sits at the northeastern corner of Morecambe Bay. Here, the sands are exposed temporarily near low tide, with the shallow channel of the River Kent estuary the only water.
A man and his son are on a paddle board, letting the current do the work. Liminal - calm and peaceful before the tide turns.

The current cold weather has brought more starlings into my garden. We would occasionally get two but now there are seven and they are visiting almost non-stop. This means I've finally had some opportunities to take photos of them
Currently the most reliable of GBRf's class 69's, 69003 works a 4Y19 13.30 Tonbridge Yard-Southampton Western Docks past St.Denys on 24/05/22. This was actually the previous days train from Mountfield following the failure of 69001 !
