The exclusive 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition celebrates Cadillac’s 115-year history. The smoky light gray edition of the super sedan will be a limited production of 115 vehicles.
The CTS-V Coupe employs the LSA 6.2L supercharged V-8 engine. Rated at 556 horsepower (415 kW) and 551 lb.-ft. of torque (747 Nm), it is the most powerful engine offered in Cadillac’s history.
Met up with RC, another local photographer last night and shot a few pics of this more rare colored CTS-V. Its a black with tons of silver flake in it so when any light hits it wild.

I was definitely out of my comfort zone.
My first attempt at a rolling car image - I'm pretty happy with the results and I learned a lot with many take-aways. I never would have thought that a shoot like this would take so much effort. The most challenging aspect was holding the camera still enough at 60mph while trying to achieve shutter speeds as slow as 1/15th of a second.
We first started out on the tide flats and rolled through downtown Tacoma. The whole time I used the Canon 10-22mm lens which is an exceptional Ultra-Wide Angle lens for APS-C cameras.
In post processing, I added additional motion blur to the back ground to exaggerate the perception of speed and movement. Then, I added some vignetting to narrow the attention onto the vehicle.
Special thanks to Brian Patterson for lending his Cadillac CTS-V.

The second generation of the Cadillac CTS was built from 2008 until 2014. The V was the high performance version. In Europe these are extremely rare. This CTS-V has a 6.2.litre V8 supercharged engine with 564 PS.
According to the owner, this is one of only four CTS-V wagons in Glacier Blue. Hunt Valley Horsepower, Hunt Valley Towne Centre, Hunt Valley, MD, March 10, 2018.
The Cadillac CTS is a mid-size car manufactured by the Cadillac marque of General Motors currently available in three body styles: Sedan, Coupe, and Sport Wagon. It was introduced in 2002 as a sports sedan, replacing the Cadillac Catera. The CTS and the supercharged CTS-V variant have been named to the Car and Driver 10 Best list for three consecutive years.
Beneath the melded bodywork beats a familiar heart. The CTS-V Sport Wagon is endowed as expected with Cadillac's wicked 556-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that makes 551 pound-feet of torque. It's fitted with a true dual-exhaust system and backed up by either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Power flows to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential, and the 19-inch wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.
An independent front and rear suspension keep the CTS-V Sport Wagon in tune with the tarmac, in concert with Cadillac's Magnetorheological adjustable shocks. Brembo brakes are fitted to all four corners, with six-piston calipers gripping 15-inch rotors up front and four-piston calipers clamping onto 14.7-inch rotors in the rear.
One of the things I was worried about with this car was that it wouldn't be as much fun in the mountains. I was really wrong...and happy about it.

What does 600+whp smell like? FEAR. and what does it sound like? PURE RAGE.
This thing terrorized the villages of Kentucky and Cincinnati before making it's final departure to North Carolina. After being up for sale for ONLY HOURS, the new owner drove from nearly 1000 miles away to pick up the new beast, and for good reason.
