At 225 feet long, the CSS Jackson was the biggest Ironclad built in the south. This is one of two screws, and it's about 10 feet tall.
During the era of the orange cars I shot a CSS&SB train coming into Michigan City on April 16. 1976. Just look at the city bus and those cars!
