There was a suicide near King's Chair on Half Dome. CSI Yosemite flagged off the area.
The rumor on top of Half Dome was that a guy had a self-inflicted gun-shot wound. He had apparently shot himself the night before, near the King's Chair. When the first people up in the morning got there, they all assumed he was asleep. Sometime after 7 AM someone discovered he was dead and called 911. Initially, about 10:00 AM, they closed the top of Half Dome and the cables. About 90 min. later they re-opened the cables, but kept the area around the body closed off.
