CS standing for Club Sport here. This was the lightweight, more track focused version of the 968, of which there are only 99 currently on the road in the UK.
Easy to see its 944 origins from this angle. No front photo this time, due to proximity of the car washing team which seem to have overtaken this car park. I'd already told them twice that I didn't want my car washing (I'm sure the guy said it was £7!!), and I didn't fancy engaging in conversation with them again, which would inevitably have happened if I'd tried for a front view here.
Cable Ship Retriever (4,000 tons gross weight), or more accurately a cable repair ship, used for raising and repairing damaged submarine communications cables. The vessel was owned by Cable & Wireless, which firm my dad worked for, so one weekend, when she was berthed in the London Royal Docks shortly after delivery, we went for a tour.
She was new in 1961 and was the first in the fleet to be diesel-electric powered.
