Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is : soap.
Since, you already know that I’m not a fancy soap person, I decided to go with a very, very ordinary white soap: dove. I like the logo of a dove on it and that is the main reason I’m buying this particular kind of soap.
Dont you think that this carved dove looks like an art piece ? Of course, i know that it isn’t hand carved but still, it is an awesome logo. That is also the opinion of Jean-Jacques Leblanc: our new tiny friend from China. As a matter of fact, he looks like he is made out of soap himself !
Unfortunately, I have to stop thinking about soap and doves and I have to grab a coffee before my meeting !!

You'd cry too if you have had to put up with our very wet autumn - this little mushroom was completely dripping with water drops from the heavy morning rain. And I got soaking wet as well, lying flat on the ground with an umbrella over the camera to protect it from the heavy dripping off the trees.

Please Cry/ Bitte Lachen The Neue Nationalgalerie presents Barbara Kruger's first institutional solo exhibition in Berlin. The American conceptual artist has developed a site-specific text installation for the Neue Nationalgalerie’s upper-level exhibition hall, making use of the entire space. The work seeks to engage visitors in public discussion about political and social topics.
In an expansive text installation, Barbara Kruger combines her own texts with quotes by three authors ‒ George Orwell, James Baldwin and Walter Benjamin ‒ whose writings each address major political issues: the violence of totalitarian states, the mechanisms behind societal discrimination and the dangers of biased historiography.
Through the stark graphic impact of her texts, reduced to just three colours (black, white and red), Kruger succeeds in introducing her own artistic language into Mies van der Rohe’s massive building. Aside from the topicality of the texts and their subject matter, the invitation extended to Barbara Kruger to develop this work also pays homage to her outstanding artistic contributions, whose feminist and political approaches have strongly influenced the art of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.Die Neue Nationalgalerie zeigt die erste institutionelle Einzelausstellung von Barbara Kruger in Berlin. Die US-amerikanische Konzeptkünstlerin entwickelt eigens für die Ausstellungshalle der Neuen Nationalgalerie eine Schrift-Installation, die den gesamten Boden des Ausstellungsraums bedeckt und die Besucher*innen zur gemeinsamen Diskussion über politische und gesellschaftliche Themen einlädt.

This lion cub was the curious one of the bunch and came up to the vehicle. It was so close my lens barely focused. He or she watched us for awhile and then started making the most adorable little lion cub noises. I guess it was complaining or trying to communicate something. These lion cubs sounds are the cutest sounds ever. It later went and joined mama lion and its siblings who were resting.
