Dirt track crossroads in the wilderness. Cold morning Belt of Venus graces the horizon over the Cathedral Mountains.
The open area is cleared of trees to serve as a safe area during summer wildfires.
"Crossroads II" the second in a series of two digital artworks created using gradients, filters and adjustment layers in Photoshop, starting from a blank canvas. No AI involved.
Traffic in Hong Kong as seen from the overpass above Queen's Road. Shot during my last year's trip to that beautiful city.

Artist: Marcos Ramirez Erre
Piece: “Crossroads”
Mexico-based Erre’s “Crossroads” piece may look like a playful sign pointing to distant cities. But look closer to see the theme.
On one post the distance to Havana, on another a Barack Obama quote: “You can’t have 100 per cent security and also then have 100 per cent privacy.”
“Big brother is watching you,” reads another.
Erre has explored themes from nostalgia to nationalism since creating the piece in 2000.
Surveillance was an easy one to work with, he said.
“We could make 100 of these pieces with that theme. It’s so now, the idea of being surveilled.”

New Jungle Place--Back row L to R, ?, Jim M., Larry, & Me. The woman at far left in the front row is the owner. The other women in the front row are hostesses who work at the bar. The photo was taken by a local photographer...I paid to have it taken.
What was yesterday really like? How simple was that simpler time? There’s a place where history comes to life and you’re part of the experience. It’s Crossroads Village, our one-of-a-kind collection of restored 19th century buildings, amusement rides and authentic narrow-gauge railroad. Here you’ll see what life “way back when” was all about.

Apparently Terrible Things happen if you find yourself at one of life's crossroads and make the wrong decision. Thank goodness for Sat Nav I say.

They say that magic becomes real at the crossroads
The places not quite here
Yet not quite there
The balance points between “was” and “will be”
When the doors between worlds open
And possibilities are unleashed

Standing still at the crossroads this afternoon, took a few shots with the cellphone.

Taken at Goathland in the North York Moors National Park. The sheep are free to wander the moors which are largely unfenced. Crossroads are a bit complicated for them .
Obviously when you drive round the park you have to expect sheep round every bend
THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH

The images produced by this camera are really clean. I have shot only 100 or so, but I noticed that immediately.
The bokeh effect produced by this lens appears to be very nice. No harshness, just the sharpness of the foreground gradually dissolving into the blur.
Crossroads to neverland

Tallinn, Estonia
The Baltic state of Estonia has long been a commercial, ethnic and religious crossroads. Eastern Orthodoxy was brought to the region by Russian missionaries in the middle ages and, despite the Lutheranism of its Scandinavian neighbours and Hanseatic traders, it stuck. Even today it’s the highest denomination in an increasingly secular state. The magnificent Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Tallinn, pictured here on a grey day in February, is the icon of the fiercely independent Estonian Orthodox Church.
in the quiet corridors of palma de mallorca's airport, a couple pauses, uncertainty painted on their faces. they stand at the crossroads of bustling gates and silent halls, a private moment of hesitation in the public expanse. the polished floor reflects their silhouettes, doubling the intimacy of their indecision. this is a snapshot of travel's reality — not just the destinations, but the in-betweens, the moments of not knowing, the search for the right path.
