Ragni
Noi ragni siamo creature
Al di là del mistero
Con otto zampe
Raggiungiamo l'irraggiungibile
Con otto occhi
Vediamo l'invisibile
Siamo grandi tessitori
Di trame incomprensibili
A tutti se non noi
Filavamo già la seta
Ai primi passi del mondo
Pendiamo
Da un filo senza fine
Non cercare di troncarlo
Ne resterai preso
Spiders
We spiders are creatures
Beyond the mistery
With eight legs
We reach the unreachable
With eight eyes
We see the unseen
We are great weavers
Of plots unintelligible
To all but ourselves
Already we had spun silk
At the dawn of the world
We hang
By an endless thread
Don't try to sever
You'll be seized
I had a short break at the beachside town of Lorne this week and took my Creature from the Black Lagoon. It was lots of fun exploring the rockpools with him.
God from eternity, decrees or permits all things that come to pass, and perpetually upholds, directs and governs all creatures and all events; yet so as not in any wise to be the author or approver of sin nor to destroy the free agency and responsibility of intelligent creatures

I think the sea stacks here look a bit like the head and dorsal fin of some sea creature partially submerged.
The clouds started to break up at this point, giving me and Alan some false hope that there would be enough of a gap for a colorful sunset. This ended up being the best light all afternoon.
Looks pretty nice in Lightbox, if you have the time.
This was my original pattern and example for the 'Whimsical Creatures' workshop I taught a week ago.
I am currently making more!

I love this guy from Warcraft, I don't know what he's called but I've always liked creatures with parts from different animals.
As I was sitting here at my computer tonight working on some photos this little guy flew up and landed on the desk next to me. I was able to get him to crawl onto a white sheet of paper and take a few photos of him before he flew off on his way. I've got no clue as to what species he is so if anyone knows what he's called please tell me I'd appreciate it. I'm really starting to love macro photography and how much detail it lets you see in the world of small things.
*Edit- After looking around online I might have identified the species. I think it's Crambus leachellus although I could be wrong.
For the Weekly Theme Challenge: Glass
This little creature is made from coloured glass, its only about 5cm long & I think its a lobster!
Am I addicted to comfort? Sure, isn't everybody? Oh, that first cup on a Sunday morning... It is comforting like the nectar of the gods!
And, here's to comfort and convenience in a camera. With the Lumix G1, I can switch between the LCD monitor and the eye level EVF, with the flick of a button. Yes, comforting in the harsh Jerusalem sunlight.

...for Drawlloween No. 15! In trouble on a post-it note! Supposed to be "Drive-in Creature Feature", but I did "sit-in".
Early start to my day thought I'd begin it with this! Been to lazy to do anything lately so I thought I'd get off my bum and do something. Quite pleased with it, hope you enjoy it :3! Took me a few hours and it captured my mood perfect ^_^

Monster.
How should I feel?
Creatures lie here.
Looking through the window...
That night he caged her.
Bruised and broke her.
He struggled closer.
Then he stole her.
Violet wrists and then her ankles.
Silent Pain.
Then he slowly saw their nightmares were his dreams.
Monster.
How should I feel?
Creatures lie here.
Looking through the windows.
I will.
Hear their voices.........
