Michael Cardus facilitated a train-the-trainer team building and leadership development program with Stevens Institute of Technology orientation leaders.
Objective:
Providing all team members with skills, tools, and facilitation that will allow them to find strengths within themselves, their fellow orientation leaders; and to develop skills in facilitation for the Incoming Student Orientation.
Outcomes:
•Increase team work
•Gain skills in facilitation and team building for the Incoming Student Orientation
•Respect for the experience, diversity and talents of the students
•Have fun and build the team.

This photo has been edited to capture the ambience and atmosphere that I aimed to achieve. The main tonal characteristic of this series of photos is I want to capture the "brightness" that is created by the source of light against an object. Reflecting shadow and highlight qualities that are also mentioned as Topic 2 in the folio. My idea is also to combine the two natures of the topic as I am still exploring the possibility, I want to capture the life of Melburnians, as well as capturing its spatial characteristics.
Main focuses are including:
1. Trying to create a better framing to capture the surrounding, as mentioned previously as feedback.
2. Trying to challenge myself in enabling a unique or interesting views, such as utilising appropriate shutter speed while taking picture in a moving tram and pointing my camera from a high standing point, revealing a different point of view of roof top garden an activities in the city.
3. I was also waiting for a certain time of the day to capture the sunset light against the skyscrapers.
4. Enabling atmosphere of the cold, developed city against this warmth natural or artificial lights, often focused on the people and the lively aspects of the city. I want to experiment with warm and cool colour tones to create a story, often the warm colours bring focuses on a specific subject.
These photos were edited or further processed on Photoshop and Lightroom where I was able to specifically played with the tones and luminance of colours, as well as the shadow, mid tone, and highlight.
I have not tried to work on RAW files yet, but for the next practice or exploration, I am planning to focus on shutter speed to freeze or blur moments and portraits, as well as refining it with my RAW files. Thank you so much!

There has been much confusion about what a podcast is and what a recording is. Lots of time people would click on the 'create podcast' button on PodServe and then wonder how they could add a recording. In our previous release you had to click on the podcast and select add show. Lots of people wondered what a show was. Isn't a podcast a show?
So we are trying to make it easier and more obvious to create a podcast and add a recording, but the trade-off is a more complicated/busy page.
You can create a standard, group or public podcast with this page and add a recording (optional) at the same time. If you want to generate a Podcall (i.e. create a recording with your phone) you will still need to visit the podcast page (it was just too much to add). Tagging is left out as well, you have to go to the podcast page to add them. Oh and we included Pluggd in the services we will ping. What do you think?

Try this for fun.
1 .Take a nice landscape image and dupe the background layer and put it in exclusion blending mode.
2. Add a layer mask and make sure the mask is chose and got Filter > Render Different Clouds ON THE MASK. Set layer at about 60% opacity.
3. Add a blank layer and go Filter > Render > Clouds, put in SCREEN overlay mode and make opacity at about 50%.
4. Add a levels adjustment layer and set the left (dark) output level at 30 and the right (light) output level at 230.
It's an interesting start. If you have a bright and colorful image you may wish to reduce it's saturation at bit. In my case I just duped layer, desaturated it, put in color mode at 30% opacity.
