Hello guys! It's been a while I've uploaded on here, I've been quite busy with uni.
This is a picture of my neighbour's beautiful cat.
I'll try and update Flickr & my blog (capturedbycarolyn.com) a bit more!

Our crawling cactus, aka Stenocereus eruca, aka creeping devil, is healthy and hungry for territory!
Power for UP's Evanston Local tippy-toes across an ancient wood pile trestle which spans the Weber River, providing access to the Holcim cement manufacturing plant in Croydon, Utah. I listened as the wood bents and deck creaked and groaned as the big EMDs crept by. Frankly, it was a little disconcerting being so close to the action. Jan. 16, 2024
The Laurel-Missoula freight does battle with the eastern slope of Bozeman Pass at East Muir on a fabulous July 2005 day. In what would turn out to be a very memorable week on the MRL with great weather for much of the trip.
UP 7258 West eases along the double track near Celilo. Traffic was very busy on this day, and I saw this train a few times as it dodged traffic on the Portland Sub
XR551 and BL34 arrive at Quambatook, where the pair will load their train having run as 9147 from Geelong.

Even if the start seems clear / objects must be placed / as deemed fit.
Assemblage, wood, metal, glass, ashes, sand, paint. Size 42x31x22 cm. Note: the wooden lath is not part of the art-peace, but just used to push it in the air.

A Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern freight led by ICE (Iowa, Chicago and Eastern) SD40-2 No. 6432 heads westbound just west of Whitney, Nebraska, at sunset on July 14, 2008. Pale smoke slowly rises in the darkening as the train crawls toward Crawford, where they will interchange traffic with the BNSF.
Oh, I hate spiders, I'd rather walk around the block than face a spider. The bigger and hairier, the scarier. If I know there is a spider somewhere in the house, it has to go before I can function normally again.
Sure, I could shoot a real spider and there are plenty of subjects in my fall garden right now, but that would mean getting really close to my subject; NO WAY! A fake spider gives me enough shivers. Other itchy multi-legged creatures also give me the creeps.
In addition to a spider phobia, there are some other fears and/or phobias. I don't like going into small (dark) spaces. Then I get the feeling that I can't breathe. For example, I'd rather take the stairs than the elevator, unless I have to take a lot of stairs...(then I get out of breath anyway). If I climb too high, my fear of heights comes up, especially with old buildings with wobbly railings and balustrades.
I also have a needle phobia and a blood phobia. The last 2 have improved a bit as I have been hospitalized quite often over the past 2 1/2 years due to health issues and have had many large and small needles in my body already. I can't say I got used to it, but the anxiety has subsided a bit.
Happy Macro Mondays
(I hope you didn't faint due to all the scary pictures today)

We can still touch the sky if we crawl
'Til we can walk again
Then we'll run until we're strong enough to jump
Then we'll fly until there is no wind
So let's crawl, crawl, crawl
Back to love, yeah
Back to love, yeah
Quick edit! Using a backdrop that will be available at Salem Macabre Market!! Information and Ad's coming soon! <3
Skippy Sky forecasted an excellent sunrise with lots of high level cloud and no low/middle cloud.... weelllll, it was wrong with not a cloud in the sky. I was going to Bronte pool and hopefully get some reflections but it was empty and closed up due to a broken pump so a quick change to Coogee to Ross Jones Memorial pool. 1 other photographer there so not too crowded as it is a small site.
High tide and a small swell so no mirror images in the pool but also no waves crashing against the pool. Some different shots needed and I liked this one with my 70-20mm lens. Silhouettes rather than long exposures today. 3 stop ND grad filter
