An old cobweb ridden packaging crate inside a disused barn

new stuff I'm working on for a new diorama- a crate sofa! One of my doll couples is quite bohemian and likes to 'upcycle' so I made this crate sofa for her and her boyfriend. I have a whole room planned all around it with pop art, and so on. I just finished the cushions and pillows for it today. Still have more ideas I'm working on for this.

Just a quickie using only parts from the 10219 Maersk Train. I hadn't done an alt-build for a long time.

It's not really anything new in terms of design, but the set had so many parts I use in my crates that I had to do this.

Forgive me the awful editing... This is taking up my normal photography station. :)

My husband said this looks like a crate or the 5 gallon water bottles lying on their sides in a truck. LOL

Snapped up from Elle Interior; originally appeared in Domino.

Darkday & I have wanted to the Air Services slide for ages. But we never had a bread crate. When Darkday saw this bread crate lying with some other trash on the side on the road, Darkday jumped out of the car and grabbed it and says with a smile "Now we can do the Air Services slide".

Whoo hooo Darkday - u rock

u can go first....

The yellow building is near the main square in Trinidad, Cuba. Quite some time was spent waiting for different people to walk by. The red crate was an added bonus!

My Loot Crate just came in today but I realized that they had shipped two of the same Crate! Luckily my two crate came with different turtle figures (Mikey and Donnie) but the obvious piece of resistance here is the exclusive glow in the dark POP Groot figure! But now I have an extra Groot POP fig that I will most likely sell because I saw they are actually pretty expensive on ebay! I highly recommend Loot Crate to any nerd out there, they always have tons of great stuff an occasionally a fantastic thing that makes the whole thing worth it! (i.e. Groot)

Thieves came at night, stole many of the crates, working into the center of the stack to get to the better grates. Because the grates are so rare, The police soon found where the grates were for sale in a Norwich shop.

The Police arranged with the retailer to ask the thieves for more crates. .... they were caught red handed.

Most of the grates were recovered. The owner is now in the process sorting the best of the crates to a safe place ready for sale at a reasonable price.

Old Square Toter, 96 gallon.

Back in the early 90's, this was a common site in Kennewick, WA - an old square Toter and a 3-set of stacking Rehrig recycling crates. Now that automation has taken over the garbage, and recycling is two-stream, this has become a rare sight.
