Yesterday afternoon in the Volksgarten in Vienna. Meanwhile, nearby on Heldenplatz, Herbert Kickl, the chief vaccination troll, gave an inflammatory speech in front of a gathering of covidiots.
Chivirico, 75km southwest of Santiago de Cuba and 106km east of Marea del Portillo, is the only town of any significance on the enticing south-coast highway, a roller-coaster of plummeting mountains, crinkled bays and crashing surf that makes up one of Cuba's loveliest road trips and at it end is home of my favorite Caribbean resort Brisas Sierra Mar .
Cuba is one of my favorite places to vacation in the winter it offers great beaches, weather, drinks, amazing people, very few Covidiots and sublime sunsets.
Cubans have done so much with so little for so long that I am sure they are faring well through this mess most likely missing the extra tourist dollars but nobody is hungry and their healthcare system is top notch.

End of 2016 in Bangkok. I wonder if we will ever be able to travel again.
The quite sensible measures taken by the government against the spread of the coronavirus in the country are opposed and sabotaged by a not inconsiderable number of opponents of vaccination and coronavirus measures. In numerous Austrian cities, they took to the streets yesterday, and the tone is clearly getting harsher. The blind rage of these people is directed not only against politicians, but increasingly also against hospitals, so that they have to be protected nationwide by the police from these terrorist assholes. Just imagine that!

Covidiots demo on Nov. 20 in Vienna (here in front of the City Hall). Yesterday, too, there were again such demos in various Austrian cities. "The tone is clearly getting rougher," the Austrian daily Der Standard writes about this, "the police presence around hospitals all over Austria has been increased." That's because these disgusting assholes are not only threatening politicians, but increasingly also medical staff as they leave hospitals. While I took this photo, the vaccination troll Herbert Kickl was giving an inflammatory speech nearby, namely on Heldenplatz, in front of a gathering of covidiots. Kickl is the leader of the far-right FPÖ, in the first Kurz government he was Minister of the Interior.
"Kickl has opposed scientific consensus on the pandemic on several occasions. Among other things, he has denied the effectiveness of vaccinations against COVID-19, and in November 2021 repeatedly recommended the anti-worm drug Ivermectin as a cure for the virus. There is no evidence that the drug has any effect in treating COVID-19 in humans. The Austrian Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has issued warnings about possible poisoning and strongly advises against self-treatment with it. Kickl's statements led to a surge in demand for Ivermectin, which sold out in many pharmacies. This was followed by reports of poisoning and hospitalisations as a result of improper use of the drug." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Kickl
Spaziergänger in Wiens 1.
Strollers in Vienna's 1st district on the penultimate day before the next lockdown. This was brought on by, among others, a conceited rooster named Sebastian Kurz, who last summer had himself celebrated in a poster campaign as the conqueror of the coronavirus and with this fatal signal put the population's willingness to be vaccinated to sleep. But the main culprits are, of course, above all these antisocial covidiots who demonstrated en masse in other places in Vienna yesterday.

No ranting at Covidiots, no boy racers... just poppies and a good excuse to post a link to one of my favourite songs.
End of 2016, when the central Prang was still scaffolded and being restored. I wonder if we will ever be able to travel again and if I will ever be able to admire and photograph the restored Prang.
In many cities in Austria, anti-vaccination activists are demonstrating against the upcoming introduction of compulsory vaccination and other government measures against the further spread of the coronavirus, claiming that the country is moving toward a dictatorship. However, I think that the government of Austria and other countries are being far too lenient with this disgusting anti-social and anti-community trash, who are mainly responsible for the spread of the virus through their refusal to vaccinate. These people should all be sent to a strict and strictly supervised quarantine, which ends only when a protective effect can be expected after a first vaccination. As long as these nauseating assholes do not get vaccinated, they should remain locked up in their dwellings.
Now I almost got angry at those morons;-)
This this another photo close to the start of my walk in the Lakes just before lockdown 2, the light had just started to lift and the downpour that welcomed me to Borrowdale had started to ease with just enough to soften the scene. Since September when I considered the crazy crowds and covidiots had departed I had been making it a point of getting over here once a month and had promised myself a December walk once LD 2 had finished, however I’m in a tier 3 area which basically has the same restrictions as the LD so I may not be able to make it, but I’ve always got my photos and on the 1st December here is Boulder and birch.
IMPFEN GEGEN CORONA!
Message from the Burgtheater, the national theater of Austria in Vienna, to the covidiots who pass by here every weekend with their demonstrations. In the entreaty "Macht nicht so ein Theater!", literally "Don't make such a theater", the German language uses the word "Theater" in the sense of "fuss". "IMPFEN GEGEN CORONA!" means "VACCINATE AGAINST CORONA!"
There are truly other problems in the world than compulsory vaccination, where there are not even penalties for violations. But these people live in their own delusional world, and the Burgtheater appeal will hardly reach them. Today's demo was well-behaved, though, and the dreaded Russia flags stayed packed. It is a frightening fact, however, that Corona-sceptic groups are teeming with pro-Putin postings.
www.derstandard.at/story/2000133663474/anti-corona-und-pr...
One cannot but regard these people as enemies of the civilised world.
The fact that there were far more participants in these demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday than in Saturday's demonstration against the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a disgrace for Austria. In Berlin, more than 100,000 people took part in a demonstration against the Russian war of aggression, in Vienna there were only a few thousand.
Nauseating sanctimony at one of those demonstrations against COVID-19 measures and mandatory vaccination that plague Vienna's city center every Saturday

Red mason bees are gentle, non-aggressive solitary bees that make their nests in hollow spaces rather than in hives.
This blind barrel-organ woman had positioned herself unsuspectingly at the Burgtheater opposite the Christmas market at Vienna City Hall and was surprised by the noisy mass demonstration against the government's Corona measures. This demonstration had been called by the anti-vaccination party FPÖ, several vaccination-refusal organisations and various right-wing extremist groups.
Last summer, former Chancellor Kurz, ignoring warnings from scientists, had himself celebrated as the victor of the pandemic in a poster campaign and thus contributed to the fact that progress in vaccination stalled. The main cause of the current catastrophic situation, however, are the vaccination refusers.
The seven-day incidence rate has now risen to 1,077.1 across Austria, in Upper Austria it is 1,677.3, and in Salzburg it is as high as 1,805.2. The hospitals there have sounded the alarm about the overloading of their intensive care units and the threatened introduction of triage. The federal government has therefore agreed with the state governors to introduce a nationwide general lockdown as of Monday and a general compulsory vaccination as of February.
So these covidiots are demonstrating against government measures that have been made necessary by a development for which they bear the main blame. In doing so, they become more and more aggressive and their language more and more martial. Vaccination boxes and even hospitals had to be protected from them by the police during today's demonstrations.
The police counted 35,000 demonstrating idiots today, the FPÖ speaks of 100,000. I can confirm that there were extremely many, and I find this dismaying.
Taken at Bell Mountain, Georgia, USA, just before sunset. This spot is always crowded at sunset it seems, for a good reason, and of course, Covidiots were out in full force at the upper viewpoint where it was a droplet spreading fest, one experience I had at the local supermarket, the employees were required to wear a face covering (but the most of shoppers were not wearing one), the employee lowered her mask to expose her pie hole every time she uttered a word......Really these people have NO fucking idea WHY we're wearing masks. the local residents voted 80% for:

One must not believe that the blue-yellow flag on the right in the picture is a Ukraine flag! Rather, it is a flag of Lower Austria, the Federal State that surrounds the Federal State of Vienna. The white-blue-red flag to the left of the centre, however, is very much a Russian flag.
After Russia's criminal invasion of Ukraine and the heinous atrocities committed by Russian soldiers in that war, holding up the Russian flag at a demonstration shows the inane mindset of the demonstrators. In times of tougher anti-corona measures, they demonstrated Saturday after Saturday against these measures, and insulted and threatened health workers. Since the beginning of the Ukraine war, they have also opposed solidarity with Ukraine and sanctions against Russia.
The organisers of this first covidiots' demonstration after a summer break called it a funeral march for vaccination victims, who are allegedly very numerous. Among others, Indentitarian leader Martin Sellner had called to take part in this demo.

I've been told that a lot of moorland and forest fires have recently been started by irresponsible people using disposable BBQ's in the Peak District. The local fire brigade are understandably annoyed. The ground is currently very dry and would easily catch fire. I've heard the word 'Covidiots' being used, which in this case is very appropriate!!

When showing the middle finger, it depends very much on the perspective. Do you show it or are you shown it or do you see someone showing it to someone else and who shows it to whom?
If you use it to counter a dictatorship like the Chinese regime or the shady President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, who is acting as an exculpatory witness in the case of the long-disappeared tennis player Peng Shuai, it is perfectly adequate.

But what about those covidiots who refuse to be vaccinated against the coronavirus and loudly claim in demonstrations that the government's coronavirus measures are the beginning of a dictatorship? These idiots worry me a lot.
Ancient rusty drill and lack of PPE caught my attention. For those who do not know what is PPE, it is something EVEN the president of USA knows, but does not use. I did not know what is PPE meant until 2 months ago. Before that, it was called safety equipment. The pandemic 'enriched' our vocabulary with these words and empty phrases such as: Stay safe, wash your hands, social distancing, contact tracing, droplet, shelter in place, self isolating, Coronacation, flattening the curve, covidiots, essential workers, the new normal, N95, WHO (the non musical kind). Please comment with your favourite Covid19 word or phrase.

Don’t take any notice of the Covidiots and their misguided death wish - take it from Jesus Christ himself - that is 2 meters or, in old money, 6 feet and 56 inches...
The daylight trekker strikes again. I snagged shot of this pitiful sky in protest at the edge of Golden Ponds on unprotected trees while sidelined before my move back to the Thistle apartments unfinished construction. I have watched the sky but I need to get out when there is a suggestion of a good sky around here. But for now I'll work on this description of dead, dead, dead.
I suspect that Vern Golden had to gift the ponds area to Longmont after he ripped up perfectly good agricultural land for sand and gravel pits to boost the heat signature of the environment while he cleaned his cement trucks at the river and created the world's ungliest waterfall. Still, it is now a pretty good place for a quiet walk in quasi-nature. That is if you can track down a spot to park. Same on this Sunday! Sheer luck parking then.
I am praying the ponds rebound soon this spring after both jabs and if I manage to avoid herd immunity (today is over two weeks after my second and last jab) when they really mean herd stupidity. CU Boulder students erupted again - I thought they checked for IQ before college and presidential acceptance. We are currently about 10-15 degrees over normal in the valley. We could use a lot more masks worn at Logmont parks, especially by the covidiots. Why take advice from scientist or doctors warning of consequences?

Incidentally, the character in the shelter seemed proud to inform me that he hadn't worn a mask on his earlier arrival here, didn't sound as if he was going to on his return when challenged by me, does that classify him as a full blown Covidiot perhaps!
Those in and around our city have been told to shape up and not ship out (travel)! Twenty-two partiers in one house were each fined $1000 early this morning. YEA!

We finally bought our RV, thank you to the greedy RV manufacturers, Kung Flu and the Covidiots!

We took the RV on a short shakedown cruise over to San Diego, specifically Point Loma Naval Base.
There's a nice camping spot on the base, right on the water. No electric, no water, but since we're self contained it wasn't a problem We spent a couple of days doing absolutely nothing except watching the world pass us by. Exactly the kind of experience we were looking for.

It was only when I got home & watched the news, that I realised the easing of the "lockdown" wasn't until Wednesday (that's my excuse for being a covidiot for just one day & I'm sticking to it)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

South Mission Street, the most-trafficked road in Isabella County, was nearly empty today except for this truck displaying a Trump 2020 election flag.
Text on the flag reads “Keep America Great,” an irony amidst the height of a pandemic caused by the Trump administration’s unwillingness to heed warnings about the disease. At present, 9,631 Americas have died from COVID-19 and the country is experiencing the highest rates of unemployment and greatest losses in the stock market in a century.
: I just started a special page project and found an oldie for a likely background from Ceran St. Vrain stream above Jamestown, Colorado. It should do the job. Lordy, Lordy, I never edited and posted it so here it comes. Today is a return sane temperatures day as we shuffle between bad sky and no sky days.
Ceran St.Vrain was a partner of the Bent fur trader brothers of Bent's Fort. He dispatched to the Platteville area, east of Longmont, to start the Fort St. Vrain trading post there. There is no evidence that he ever traveled the south fork river area but here is his name on the creek (pronounced - crick) above Jamestown mining camp.
I am praying the area rebounds soon this summer after both jabs and if I manage to avoid herd immunity (today is over two months after my second and last jab) when they really mean herd stupidity. Denver and Boulder counties (it's sprinkling right now) Boulder students erupted again - I thought they checked for IQ before college and presidential acceptance. We are logged about 10-15 degrees over normal in the valley. We could use a lot more masks worn at Logmont parks, especially by the covidiots. SCOUT: "Paddy! Paddy who is at the front door?"
PADDY: "I'm not sure, Scout."
SCOUT: "Daddy says that we are not to open the door to strangers." *Puts paw to mouth in concern.*
PADDY: "Hullo! Who is at the door please?"
VOICE FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR: "Hullo Paddy! It's me, your cousin Paddington!"
PADDY: "Oh Cousin Paddington!"
SCOUT: "It could be a trick, Paddy!" *Tugs on Paddy's sleeve.* "Like the Big Bad Wolf in Little Red Riding Hood!"
*Looks concerned.*
PADDY: "Nonsense Scout! There are no Big Bad Wolves here!" *Opens front door.* "Cousin Paddington! How do you do? Please, do come inside."
COUSIN PADDINGTON: "Oh thank you Paddy! How do you do?"
PADDY: "What brings you here Cousin Paddington?"
COUSIN PADDINGTON: "Well Paddy, I was on my way to the airport to fly and stay with some friends when I was told by a very nice policeman that I would no longer be able to travel to stay with them."
PADDY: "Oh yes Cousin Paddington! We have heard about these travel bans from the news reporter on the telly!"
COUSIN PADDINGTON: "So you see Paddy, I need somewhere to stay right now whilst we wait for these travel bans to be lifted. Might I come and stay with you? I have nowhere else to go."
SCOUT: "Nowhere else Cousin Paddington?" *Puts paw to mouth in shock.*
COUSIN PADDINGTON: "No! I have been caught in transit, Scout!"
SCOUT: "Oh how terrible! Well, I'm sure Daddy won't mind if you stay with us for a little while Cousin Paddington. He won't will he, Paddy?"
PADDY: "No, I'm sure he won't, Scout. Please come and have some elevenses with us Cousin Paddington. You must be quite tired and hungry after your long journey."
COUSIN PADDINGTON: "Oh thank you Paddy. I must confess that I do have a grumby tummy!"
SCOUT: "Grumbly tummy Cousin Paddington! Grumbly tummy Paddy!" *Giggles.*
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Cousin Paddington is a recent visitor to our family. Travelling all the way from London, he was caught in transit thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, so it looks like he is stopping with us for a while. The more I look into his happy, smiling face, the more attached I am becoming to him.
Boy, I had too much bottle up time again while awaiting spring and I am trying to build up energy after a year of insults to my energy levels. I snagged a shot of this almost permanent blank sky at the edge of Roger's Grove on a trek over from Isaac Walton Park of winter's latent trees while sidelined before my move back to the Thistle apartments unfinished construction. I have watched the sky but I need to get out when there is a suggestion of a good sky around here. But for now the scene still looks dead, dead, dead. Today is a bad sky day as we shuffle between bad sky and no sky days.
The beginning of Roger's Park that lies between Golden Ponds and Isaac Walton parks on the Greenway Trail was a foundation gift to Longmont from Roger Jones and his wife, long time Longmonters. I met Roger in the 50s. Still, it is now a pretty good place for a quiet walk in local nature. That is, if you can track down a spot to park at any of them. Same on this Sunday! Sheer luck parking then.

...redux. Enough of horrible slies. I snagged more of the unseen twilight work of Igor at the edge of Golden Ponds on unprotected trees while sidelined before my move back to the Thistle apartment and their ongoing punishment of unfinished construction. Well, anyway, I started a spread sheet to date stamp and log their current lies and continue to make entries! Really? What were my expectations for this crowd? The re-move labor was shifted to renters and I am currently through some of my massive second multiple moving box cleanup. Now where is my laptop with Vista that works better than Win-10? Even Windows-10 shut off my card reader slots so I am currently stuck again without investing extensive time, fencing, Gates and excess labor. MicroSloth 10 has been closing in on me from every angle. Ahh, if MicroSloth ever finished one single operating system like Windows CE, ME or NT. What does it spell, kiddies?

It is now illegal in Nova Scotia to drive to a trail head and park, however ...
There are too many selfish, or stupid, or selfish and stupid people here...
and some had dogs running wild, off-leash as they shouted their usual, unheeded commands to them. In places, the trail is very narrow.
Anyone watching Trump go into the hospital this afternoon can remember this Monster is currently fighting to strip Americans of all their ACA protections, including coverage for pre-existing conditions. His beef with these protections? The bill was crafted by Barack Obama.
Trump brought this on himself.
No, Flickr. I'm not claiming to have taken this photo. I don't know what I was doing when this photo was taken -- probably rage tweeting Trump -- still sending thoughts and prayers to the COVIDIOT.
The cattails were giving it up to the fall down at the Golden Ponds. We waited and waited for fall this year. This must be fall, finally packing it in. Chlorophyll lasts just so long while cool evenings eventually take a toll. I snagged this shot of the trail's edge of the middle Golden Pond.
I suspect that Vern Golden had to gift the ponds area to Longmont after he ripped up perfectly good agricultural land for sand and gravel pits to boost the heat signature of the environment while he cleaned his cement trucks at the river and created the world's ugliest waterfall. The valley is mostly gravel pits now.Still, it is now a pretty good place for a quiet walk in quasi-nature that volunteers do their efforts. Hats off! That is if you can track down a spot to park. The ponds should rebound yet this fall after both jabs and boost if I manage to avoid herd immunity when they really mean herd stupidity. We'll see what pops up after Delta, and Omicron included. Today, we are currently normal in the valley while waiting for any winter to turn on the flats. We could use a lot more masks worn at Logmont parks, especially by the covidiots. Why take advice from scientist or doctors warning of consequences? What? You never contracted smallpox, polio, measles, mumps or rubella? What gives? Not even magnetic 300 pound balls. Did you drink your bleach today or nebulae your hydrogen peroxide? My gawd, is that is a mask?
On August 1, a demonstration of the Corona measures opponents took place in Berlin. They announced 'the end of the pandemic'. The protesters included fundamental rights activists and conspiracy theorists, neo-Nazis and left-wing autonomes, average citizens and right-wing liberal populists. We call them Covidiots. They deny the virus and play down the consequences. They believe that their action will boost the economy and, in the case of a superspread event, will have the opposite effect: the next lockdown. They lie about the number of participants (1.3 million), and the approving authorities play down the coming disaster with 20,000. The truth should be 70,000.
(I took all photos wearing a mask and keeping social distance.)
The biggest protest against Ohio's Coronavirus closings & restrictions was about a month ago. It seemed like things had died down in recent weeks, but I drove by the Statehouse this week and the COVIDiots appear to still be at it, even with businesses beginning to open back up (for better or worse) as we speak...
Enough of horrible skies. After the swamp shot, I walked on and snagged more of the unseen twilight work of Igor at the edge of Golden Ponds. CU Boulder students erupted again - I thought they checked for IQ before college and presidential acceptance. We are currently in another turn down. We could use a lot more variant covid masks worn at Logmont parks, especially for the covidiots and MAGATs. Why take advice from scientist or doctors warning of consequences? Time to dress down the Sumerians for starting a civilization thousands of years ago that didn't work out.
Bottle up time again while awaiting a spring that continues to stretch away while I am trying to build up energy after a year of insults to my energy levels. I snagged a shot of this almost permanent blank sky at the Isaac Walton Pond and Park on a trek over Roger's Grove Park and views of winter's latent trees while sidelined by my move back to the Thistle apartments unfinished construction. Construction din continues and the thrid plumbing outfit showed yester day. There is still snow season time left to get my baseboard heating functional... or not. Got my doubts. I will probably not need it this summer especially if they never added insulation to the attic. I have watched the sky but I need to get out when there is a suggestion of a good sky and decent day around here. But for now the scene still looks dead, dead, dead. Today is a bad sky day as we shuffle between bad sky and no sky days.
Here is an example of the state of the St. Vrain Valley. Sand, gravel and rock has all been extracted from what used to be growing agricultural lands and turned into pits and heat sinks, buildings and pavement for the future climate while the pits fill with permanent ground water without climate cooling agriculture of any sort. It will all pay back sooner or later. Flashback to Pogo Possum, "We have met the enemy, and he is us!"

I met Roger in the 50s. Still, it is now a pretty good place for a quiet walk in local nature. That is, if you can track down a spot to park at any of them. Same on this Sunday! Sheer luck parking then.
I am praying the area rebounds soon this spring after both jabs and if I manage to avoid herd immunity (today is over two weeks after my second and last jab) when they really mean herd stupidity.
