Nel cuore della Via Lattea, là dove il Cigno spalanca le sue ali, un fiume di stelle scorre tra veli di gas e polveri cosmiche. Le nebulose che circondano γ Cygni sembrano danzare in un intricato ricamo di luce e ombra, un arazzo celeste che racconta la nascita e la trasformazione delle stelle. È uno dei panorami più incantevoli del nostro cielo, capace di stupire chiunque vi posi lo sguardo.
Parte tecnica: questa immagine è stata realizzata con un rifrattore 72ED, camera ASI 533 MC e filtro SV220. Nonostante soltanto un’ora di integrazione, la ricchezza di dettagli e la profondità delle nebulosità emergono con forza, a testimonianza della straordinaria densità di strutture presenti in questa regione galattica.

Un intreccio di luce e polvere sospeso nel cielo estivo: così appare la Nebulosa Velo, delicata e luminosa, che si svela lentamente grazie alla pazienza di una lunga esposizione. Guardarla è come osservare un ricamo cosmico, fragile ma eterno.
NGC 6960 è parte di un vasto resto di supernova, l’esplosione di una stella massiccia avvenuta circa 10.000 anni fa nella costellazione del Cigno. I suoi filamenti colorati sono onde d’urto che si propagano attraverso il mezzo interstellare: il rosso indica l’emissione dell’idrogeno ionizzato (Hα), mentre il verde-azzurro deriva principalmente dall’ossigeno doppiamente ionizzato (OIII).
Questa immagine è il risultato di 2 ore di esposizione complessiva, realizzate con rifrattore 72ED, camera ASI 533 MC e filtro SV220, dal centro città e sotto la luce della Luna.

Gypsy girl oh gypsy girl
All the world is a dance,
Fate comes twisting with swirl
And give away to change;
Who is your lover today
What have you found out,
Strum the guitar and play
There are many songs about.
With eyes so fair and sweet
Everything seems quite true,
There are no tricks to treat
Only the depth in irises blue;
Soft is your skin and dark
And silky your flowing hair,
A face that glitters with spark
Through moods of every year.
Gypsy girl sweet's your pearl
And true to the hidden sea,
Your mood hot tempered whirl
So fresh and more effeminacy;
I long for you those nights
When moon is full and close,
To catch your swan like flights
And come near your dark rose.

All our love is like clouds in the sky,
Running around to an unknown destiny.
Before space runs out we must try,
To be honest to protect and keep free.
