Campaigners converged on Conservative headquarters in protest at remarks by shadow home secretary Chris Grayling, who last week sparked a row when he said people who ran bed and breakfast in their homes should "have the right" to turn away gay couples. During the protest the Conservatives supplied free icecream for the protestors.

Michael Ancram was MP for Berwickshire & East Lothian from February to October 1974. This leaflet refers to 1979 General Election when he stood for the Edinburgh South constituency. He won this seat and was MP for Edinburgh South between 1979 and 1987. He was then MP for Devizes between 1992 and 2010 when he retired from the House of Commons. Nice to see some of these propper British iconic boozers still functional, sick of seeing the whole country blighted with girly, poncey, snobby, sissy wine bars! :-P
A very classic 35 mm SLR camera, heavy and massively built, easy to use when you know how. The construction is very conservative, with a cloth shutter, full manual controls and maximum shutter speed of 1/500 s. The M42 screw mount makes it easy to find many different lenses even today, and the external selenium meter helps with the right exposition. It´s not rare (1.5 mio units made), it´s not fast (all has to be done manually), but it´s extremely classic and a great fun to use, when you have to think about every picture twice (I used a film camera last in 2004, and this return "to the core" is very refreshing).
