Day almost turns to night as a small convoy of cars drive under the threatening supercell above.

Six cows following each other through the morning fog to the other end of their meadow (were they get fed), as the sun rises above their heads.

This shot needs no explanation. I saw this family at the North Cave Wetlands in East Yorkshire

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED AND SO MUCH MORE INTRESTING THAN JUST GIVING A FAVE

I've not able to see my lovely swans for a while because I have been too busy moving and the weather has been awful, so here is a swan shot from my archive.

The ships supplied Murmansk in Russia (I hope the Russians remember that, but I doubt it)....a journey which was described as "The worst journey in the world"....

In the 17th century, piracy became a serious threat to the trade conducted by the Hanseatic City of Hamburg. In 1665, the merchants of Hamburg took matters into their own hands. They gave an undertaking that every arriving and departing ship would pay a"convoy duty". It was used to build "convoy ships". These escort ships then escorted all merchant ships on the Elbe that wanted to sail to the safe port of Hamburg. The Commerz-deputation was renamed "Hamburg Chamber of Commerce" in 1867.

After getting soaked on New Years Day we ventured out on the Bank Holiday Monday too, blue skies and sunshine all day long.

Feels good to be back home again. There’s an hour back up on the interstate so here is a picture of trucks.

At the end of the day, the buses participating at Imberbus convoyed their way out of the Salisbury Plains, seen here from the top of Sack Hill.

Leading the convoy is RTW467 & at the rear, is EP1.

D213 'Andania' heads south at Balshaw Lane Jn with the early running 0Z45 Longtown to Crewe on April 21 2022. The convoy was made up of 57004, 37604, 37609 & 37603, the loco's having being sold by Direct Rail Services.

The 57 is for LSL whilst the 'Growlers' are for HNRC. Although running 100 minutes early here, north of Lancaster the convoy was running much ealier that I thought I didn't have time to get anywhere else. As a result of being held several times between Lancaster and Preston, it arrived just as the sun was getting too low for this location.

Always good to see a convoy on the main line these days!
