It is not symmetric :-) and it is not framed under the consideration of the 1/3 rule. Breaking the rules seemed good to me in this case. What do you think?

The Quran describes the oppressor or tyrant as "deaf, dumb and blind", which is essentially the spiritual reality of the tyrant. He cannot hear the cries of his victims; he cannot communicate with those he oppresses because he imperiously views them as representatives of a lower order of being than himself, and thus as mere commodities to be exploited or, even worse, as plagues to be cleansed; and he cannot see the harm he does. Aristotle (d. 322 BC) reminds us that all tyrants invariably surround themselves with sycophants because they cannot bear the truth. But the tyrant also needs these sycophants because he demands tacit approval of his beliefs and actions, and most of all he fears an honest and critical view of himself. The more the tyrant's power grows, the less he tolerates dissent. What is true of the tyrant is also true of the tyrannical nation. He demands that everyone agree with him and affirm his position because he cannot see, hear or speak to anyone but himself. He believes that his vision is clear, his understanding is unsurpassed, and his words, and only his words, are worthy of utterance or consideration. As human beings, only through others can we truly see ourselves, hear ourselves and talk to ourselves; but in his fixation on himself the tyrant is totally incapable of such reflection.

(Hamza Yusuf. Introduction to the "The prayer of the oppressed")

We arrive at Carrasqueira / the Kermes Oak. It is a stone wall, almost entirely smooth, 35 meters (114,83 ft) high. It is considered an easy, first-degree climb, with the proper equipment.

In ten minutes, I overcome the wall; in less than half an hour I am at the top of Pedra da Gávea and I sent an SMS “I got at the top”.

Any turn of the trail does not deserve great consideration: the path is known and, downhill, all the saints help. But the journey back from Pedra da GĂĄvea is much more tiring than expected. The knees need to act as a shock absorber, receiving a load equivalent to 3.5 times the weight of the human body.

Thank you very much Jude in Time and Angela Thespian for the opportunity to participant this month. I sincerely appreciate the consideration.

Special thanks to Karole Batista for your kindness. I owe you one.

This was taken at Isthmus of Corinth aka the Corinth Canal. Recently I got me a Helios 44M, 58mm F2 lens and I was set to test it and see how it performs. It's a full manual lens, coming from Russia and mainly used to be a kit lens for old Zenit cameras. Its production began round 1958 if I'm correct. Probably the most mass produced lens ever made. It has a distinctive swirly bokeh, gorgeous colors and relatively good resolution for its age. Speaking of age, this particular one I got, is dated from 1979, pretty much 40 years ago!

Yet it really performs well. Especially if you take under consideration that it had to prove its value on a 42mp camera body! It's a fast and very sweet lens. Focusing ring is smooth and Its color reproduction is quiet good. It doesn't produce those oversaturated colors one would see from modern lenses, yet to me that's a plus, cause that's exactly why it gives good leeway and quiet a lot of color grading options in post. It's quiet soft, not so sharp, especially at f2, but it's not something to bother (me at least) and it also can easily be corrected in post with a little added contrast. Manual focusing can get tricky at times but hey, autofocus was not a thing back in 1979! And have I told you I'm a manual kind of guy myself?!

One other quirk is it's 58mm instead of the nifty fifty we are used to as "normal". I guess Russians believed 58mm was closer to how the human eye sees rather than 50mm. Ohhh well, I think I can easily use this to my advantage, for I can get slightly better bokeh out of it and it's more convenient for portraits! And on a full frame camera, that's not as much more "tight" frame compared to the 50mm either! It is tighter but not so much that I can't compensate with a step or two backwards! And to be honest I've come to love its bokeh after I've seen my initial shots from that day! It is smooth and at times, given the right distances, it gets swirly which can get addictive!

All in all, I can tell you this lens is a lens with distinct character! If it matches your taste in color reproduction and sharpness and you don't mind manual focusing, you can get quiet extraordinary pictures with it. And for the price, it certainly is a bargain!

Chasing light is ever the photographers endeavor. Weather it be on bright blue days, looking for visually interesting contrast, or on storm ridden moody days such as this one. Light, shadow, clouds, nature, all building to a moment of blissful peace. You’ve found the light against the darkened skies, now your job is yet to begin. Finding the perfect position for your equipment, and the consideration that this light is yet fleeting, you wont have long to capture the moment, to freeze time. Yet you carry on dutifully to create. Doubtlessly, it is assumed we capture these scenes as is without any real work, but the truth, most people will never have the patience for. This image, from the same time as the previous is giving you a glimpse just beyond the veil.

Crataegus pulcherrima, whose name means "beautiful hawthorn" is a shrub up to 4 m tall, native to the southeastern United States. This species and those related to it that are classified in Crataegus series Pulcherrimae have been largely ignored since they were originally described in 1903, but warrant consideration as ornamental cultivated plants.

After much consideration, I've decided to take a less active role on Flickr. I have left many of the groups I co-administered and may leave more. For the time being, I really want to spend more time on my faithful contacts' photos.

Have a FABULOUS weekend and I'll see ya Monday!!!

For your Consideration is a series inspired by popular movie scenes.

In this, the first official shot of the series, I had Ryan Gossling fired and took over his role as Driver in Drive. I woulda been a badass Driver. Just sayin'

And here, is a story being told within a story. This is a mini-series I decided to explore because, if you truly believe Black Lives Matters, then you realize that the essence of the sum of us, all our life experiences and emotions, everything we've explored and learned, are worth considering and hearing about. Humans are complex individuals and so often Black Lives have been reduced and not celebrated. This is something that is not only harmful to these beautiful humans but also to us all as people.

I am all about the celebration and also consideration and connection between humans. I think we the people need to come to a deeper understanding of what we share and have in common vs. what separates us.

Hope you all have a very peaceful and prosperous new year! Here's to embracing change and striding through life with humanity, care and consideration for each other and ourselves.

I'm up for a change today :]

this is quite different, and please take in consideration that I dont do much of these so I'm obviously not a pro in the matter.

Have you taken into consideration

That every time

Like, every time

You write a heart ❀ / <3

To your loved ones

Or a smile 😊 / :)

To your dear ones

To your friends

You raise their energy

You raise your own energy

A heart ❀ or another sweet tiny message/ text / note or action.

It doesn't need to be bought to be appreciated.

Wash my BMW and I would nearly die, thank you.

Why do I frequently use small signs, like emojis 😁😍 or :D <3 to you, when I thank you for stopping by and commenting on my photos?

Why do I use it on your photos when I stop by and comment?

Yes I can go a bit bananas some times....

And, yes I always check if you wrote something more than Thx 😇

I do it consciously, you know

I'm not a naive chick

Because, if you return to see my thx-message, you too will see that I thought of you from my heart.

I say "If" because I know many don't go back to check whether; "Did she say more then Thanks?".

Because I want you to feel good, I want to give you a little boost, maybe a little thrill, maybe a smile, maybe brighten your day for some tiny seconds.

It's a choice I take, because by sending you guys good vibes it does have a domino effect on you and further on the ones you meet on the same day.

We will be like a tsunami of good vibes if we did this consciously.

It has effect, both on you and the ones who receives and not to mention Earth it self.

That is pretty grand, isn't it 😊

I do upload a bit too many photos, so I know that on some of my photos you didn't get a hint that I read your message to me.

There isn't enough time.

Lol, even for me.

It hurts my inside every time.

I think I owe it to you to know that.

Happy International Women's Day

😘

that can be done afterward is not worth consideration :-)

Visualizza in HD:

Is a long time (years) that I would like to see a similar scene, but at the same time have the opportunity ' to take it; Lo and behold, suddenly, perseverance was rewarded.

Unfortunately the shot has proven no brainer for several reasons; 1) the roost not parallel to the PDR 2) the proximity of the same (3, 45 m) 3) not least the Sun took a hand and has seen fit to hide just before the arrival of the subjects.

The difficulty very limited depth-of-field bigger.

I decided I stay on a focal length of 200 mm and to use a f 11 to have about 5 cm of PDF both front and back.

The little light has limited MF into consideration of the fact that the orange of martino often tends to knead.

The scene is repeated 2/3 times allowing me to attend an event that wowed me.

Taken taken the oasis of Cronovilla.

This night photograph was taken near the Poole sea fishing store looking towards some fishing vessels moored near Poole Quay Boat Haven. Different designs of the fishing vessels can be observed. It will be interesting to know of the considerations for the owner to name the “Rocket” vessel.

Worthy of consideration... galvanised roofing tin, bits of nylon string, cast-off timber. No cost to build; no cost to maintain. Form follows function; elegant in its own crudeness. Seen in rural Ireland.

There are seven towers in the Red Sands group, at the mouth of the Thames Estuary. These towers were previously connected by metal grate walk-ways. In 1959 consideration was given to refloating the Red Sands Fort and bringing the towers ashore, but the costs were prohibitive. In the early 21st century there were threats that the fort could be demolished so a group called Project Redsands was formed to try and preserve the fort. It is the only fort that could be accessed safely from a platform in between the legs of the tower to the right for a long time, but not anymore. Only Urbexers visit the towers sometimes, of course not just legally.

Four towers carried QF 3.75 inch guns arranged in a semicircle ahead of the control centre and accommodation, a tower to the rear of the control centre mounted Bofors 40 mm guns, while the seventh tower, set to one side of the gun towers and further out, was the searchlight tower.

This species nests in trees and bushes, especially on islands. Their most important consideration in choosing a spot is the protection offered by the site. They build platform nests made of sticks and add other locally available materials, as the male does not wander far from the nest.

Not a lot of opportunities for cat on fall colors leaves in 2020 due to weather etc. They didn't come outside unless I was also out (so they could follow me back in). When the work week and luck of nature coincided I was able to dash out and get a few pictures in the sun. — After much consideration today (12/5/2020 GMT) I think this is my favorite Pepper photo in 2020 - lovely face capture, great surrounding leaves, good light. Rooted in experience

Perceptual knowledge

Merely an inquiry

It's a time for everything.

It's always a time for afterthought, I sure have done that this year.

It's a wonder that I still have one or two brain cells left, lol.

Brain cells aren't used only for work.

Difficult tasks within can blow your mind away.

Why is that?

When you are at work you use your brain in a relatively calm, rational way, it's mostly based on knowledge.

When you are dealing with your inner being you will touch your feelings as soon as you open the door only a tiny bit.

And that hurts.

We normally don't like to be hurt.

Therefore we leave things to be instead of dealing with them, even though you know that you do things in a way you know isn't proper for you or others.

And then you are stuck.

It only gets worse, it never gets fixed without your attention.

Somehow the problem keeps growing and will become like a domino, leaving you with even more tasks to deal with, but the same problem is there like a basis, a foundation, it just transforms into different shapes.

"The story of my life..", you can think, "Why am I always so unlucky?"

Giving it attention is the same as giving the problem light.

Darkness is never a solution.

Light is.

Attention can be done in many ways. When you first are aware of that something is wrong, then you have taken the first step.

We all deal with our stuff in different ways.

The most important is that you actually deal with it.

Some don't need dwelling, back an forth, some know exactly what to do and proceed.

Some needs breaks in thinking, to let it all mature and when the time is right, they do what they need to do.

I'm a slow one, taking into consideration all and everything.

But when I know I'm right, I act like a tsunami. 2018 has been filled with emotional tsunamis, followed by action and intuition.

Tsunami after tsunami.

My tsunamis are like fire in the forest, my foundation gets cleansed, purified and leaving me with a new respect and love for myself and leaving me ready for new adventures.

The unknown is always a nice pillow, we can make many excuses to just be left stuck.

We often don't see that we are doing just that.

Time for heavy food has been and is definitely over for me, for a long time.

Heavy food can make me sleepy and slow in my body and mind.

I can feel the urge of going for a hike instead of eating the dessert.

But I'm not rude, so of course I don't do that, lol.

The company I have had this Christmas was just as perfect as it should be.

Everyone was thankful for the nice time we could have together, everyone in a good mood.

One special person was missing, but this year has indeed been an adventurous year and we all needed to end the year in this way.

I'm thankful for what has been.

I'm thankful for what is.

I'm thankful for what is to come.

Dear diary, thanks for listening to me this year 😁 I will continue in 2019, I promise, lol.

My journey isn't over yet.

And remember, when I'm in 97 I will be jumping in parachute from a plane 😅
