Conan is a steppe eagle and one of the birds who entertained the participants of the 'eagle workshop`' at a local falconry last week. He is quite big but compared to the bald eagle he is a lightweight. The steppe eagle is related to the tawny eagle but he is larger. Another detail which allows to distinguish him from the tawny eagle is the gape. The gape of the steppe eagle extends beyond the centre of the eye as against the tawny.

Well this was fun build, I always seem to end up building here, it my favourite spot in Conan, so this is my shipwreck town for Legacy of Darkness server.
Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. A departure from my normal Landscape photography, St Conans kirk (Church) is one of the most popular visitor attractions in Argyll and Bute Scotland.
Situated in the tiny village of Loch Awe on Scotlands west coast the church was designed and built by Walter Douglas-Campbell at the turn of the 20th centuary, the kirk is unique in having an example of almost every style of church architecture. Highlights include the Norman doorway, Gothic flying buttresses, a Celtic cross, Arts and Crafts carvings and a Saxon tower.
This picture is of the apse at the east end of the church and resembles a stone circle, many of which are to be found in the neolithic landscapes of Scotland's Argyll and Bute area.
