The former Western Maryland Railway shop complex sits forlorn and mostly abandoned save for a crew of volunteers who have formed the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum with the intention of acquiring the site in order to transform it into a working museum. November 11, 1990.
Union Mill Complex, better known as the Chocolate Factory, next to the Kayaderosseras Creek in Ballston Spa, New York. In the late 20th century this old mill, built in 1879, was restored and converted into commercial and office space.
Lava Cliffs. This unit of rhyolitic welded tuff, part of the Braddock Peak Volcanic Complex, was deposited as an ash flow during the late Oligocene about 28 million years ago. The eruptive center was in the area of the Never Summer Mountains, about 15 miles west of this site. Most of the rock exposed here is a vitrophyte in which the ground-mass consists exclusively of a glassy magma. Rocky Mountain National Park. Larimer Co., Colo.

What a gorgeous, idyllic day it was. And now what a joy it is to wander around in my memories of it.
The northernmost of this archaeological complex's three Doric-order temples is, like the others, constructed of Quaternary-age Paestum Travertine. This vuggy, buff-and ocher-weathering carbonate rock is the product of the nearby Capodifiume springs.
It appears that the pair of Stone Pines (Pinus pinea) flanking the path to the temple are still there, and have grown to an impressive size. This tree species, with its distinctive, umbrella-shaped habit, is one of the defining elements of the Italian landscape.
The other photos and descriptions of this series are ready for your inspection in my Architectural Geology of Paestum album.

This is a City of rush .. we travel .. we walk .. all in a rush ..
From every side of our life we rush to achieve.. we rush to make..
It's so complex.. no specific identification of that specific road of winning..
So .. we live in a Rush Complex.....

Richardson Olmsted Campus is one of Buffalo's most imposing and beautiful buildings. Completed in 1870 by Henry Hobson Richardson in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, it was originally the Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane. Towards the late 20th c., mental health treatment changed and the facility began to move out of the building, which became increasingly derelict.
Nevertheless, it was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
It was only in 2006 that the Richardson Center Corporation was formed with a mandate to save the buildings and bring the Campus back to life through a State appropriation for this architectural treasure.
Today, the Richardson Olmsted Campus houses the Hotel Henry Urban Resort Conference Center as well as a restaurant known as "100 Acres The Kitchens at Hotel Henry".
The remaining buildings have been stabilized pending future opportunities.
This massive, derelict train maintenance complex now sits decaying and slightly vandalized. The sun fell as we began exploring!

Saguaro cactus (Carnegiea gigantea) (a succulent) in the Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area, Cave Creek, Arizona, near Phoenix.
They say it takes 50 years before the first branch shoots off of a saguaro. If so, this one is a grandaddy.

(1969-L-02164): This winter 1969 view, complete with a dusting of snow, illustrates how the large vacuum spheres dominate the Hypersonic Facilities Complex. They are 41, 60, and 100 feet in diameter. Spheres were used because their double-curved surfaces strongly resist buckling inward, making them the most structurally efficient shape for large vacuum vessels.

There is a chance a good portion of the 720S update will feature edited shots. Unless of course I can find a solution to my display profile.
I want to do more updates containing mostly stock shots. The reason is it's less time consuming.
Sure I am happy how some of my edited shots have turned out. But with it being summer I would prefer to release a few stock only updates.
