Friday. And all you can eat breakfast set us up for the day. Friday night we went for amazing food at Lawson's restaiurant (one we had found last visit to Lincoln) then on to Carousel then Popworld to finish the night.

We always meet lovely people when we're out!

Comments and constructive criticisms are always welcome, and thanks for visiting.

My heartfelt thanks to all of you who gave constructive comments and words of encouragement to me for my previous failed shot! They are all valuable to my learning curve in photography - did I tell you I only started photography in less than 1 year?

TGIF - as it means I have my camera with me. I am going to take a few decent shots (out of 200 probably!) and fine tune my skills. Some of the tips you mentioned to me as to how to improve the pictures are interesting and new to me, because I haven't taken any lessons in photography (but this is something I think I should do!).

I am going to try those tips out as soon as I leave the damn office!

Due to unexpected ccircumstances, sadly I was unable to get to Leeds in time for the Friday night as I usually would, so instead I went on the Saturday.

We went to see the comedy show at the Fenton and then on to Pryzm for a bit of music and dancing.

We had a new friend with us this time - Kimberley who had been out on the Friday, but couldn't get a makeover organised for Saturday so she came out in her male persona.

In Pryzm later on in the night. I love this photo Sarah took, it's a very unusual view.

Comments more appreciated than faves.

After a lovely afternoon out brambling with Gemma and my Mum, Gemma and I had an aamazing night out in Hull!

A delicious meal out at our favourite French restaurant Cognac started the evening off.

Then we decided to try Humber Street - the recently redeveloped area around Hull Marina. We found a rooftop bar there and met some great people - several of whom came to meet us later on at The Star!

It was a properly social night and it felt like the first 'proper' night out since the restrictions were lifted. A fantastic time.

Had a really lovely weekend with two lovely friends over to Hull for a weekend visit.

We did a long slow wander around town during the afternoon, taking in a few of the notable spots (yes, Hull has a couple!) then out on Saturday night for a few drinks.

At Hull Minster.

Comments are most welcome; graphical "awards", not so much.

My first weekend in Milton Keynes since September 2017. Pink Punters has changed a lot since I was last there - the attic bar is now a swanky cocktail bar and it looks great!

It was our good friend Melissa's birthday so we had a meal and a birthday cake presentation in TGI Fridays.

We also helped Helen out for her first real outing in public too. And saw some friends I haven't seen in ages!

And the next day I had Ikea meatballs for the first time and they were delicious!

Back at the hotel with Helen ready to go to Pink Punters.

I wonder how many of us had autograph books when I we were kids. I had my share, but I don't know what happened to them. Just as well. By the 1950s, kids tended to write only their names without adding the silly poetry that made earlier autograph books so much fun.

This is Pauline Watson Barber Pallett's main book There is another, but it only has a few things in it.

I was going through old family photographs, most of which I uploaded a year ago. I came across the autograph book and thought my flickr buddies might get a kick out of it.

Please don't feel obligated to comment. I've been pretty busy, so I haven't been around to see.you. I'll try to rectify that somewhat next week.

I'll be going on vacation next weekend, so I'll be scarce for a bit.

Please enjoy these as I have, and if you'd like to add an autograph poem of your own, please put it in the comment box.

These pages were written in simpler times in small town Ontario. The surnames are English, Irish and Scottish ( with a bit of Welsh). The given names are certainly right out of the era.

Thanks, all, and take care.

Comment from hoggerdoug and railsmith on Train Orders:

At Bayview Junction, Hamilton, Ont. The passenger train is an eastbound Tempo service destined to Toronto. Both trains are off the Dundas sub and entering the Oakville sub. In the first photo the train in the background is leaving Hamilton.

A midweek trip across to Leeds for my second appointment (finally!) at the Gender clinic.

All went well. I saw psychologist and have now been officially diagnosed with gender dysphoria, which means I can now move onto the next stages and start organising a treatment and care plan.

Comments are very much appreciated!!

Every time I come back to Russia, people ask me "Why? It's cold and grey here. Spain is much better". True: most of days are cloudy, people can be grumpy and rude (lack of sunlight, I guess), Moscow is overpopulated, dirty and extremly expensive.

How could I don't come back?

Because there is beauty in ugliness too. At least when that ugliness has been your home for seven years. Sometimes even without the ugly part.

lorisezhi: One way to keep warm.

thephilosopherstoned: Yes Lori @lorisezhi , but not nearly as cold as where you are I think!

lorisezhi: No. There isn't a lot of homeless people around here. Maybe living out of cars... In a larger city up on the west coast, where the weather gets worse than here, they have a problem. Google "Traverse City, Michigan." Still, it is nothing like around California or New York City.
