I took this photo at the entrance of Tolbooth Market in Edinburgh during a city break. It was possible to see Calton Hill from there. It was such a pity that I couldn't bring my regular camera.

Living in the country has its advantages. One of the great things is that there are many little backroads to explore and around each curve there is something new. On this warm Summer morning the dips and valleys have lite fog hovering just over the landscape.
Here's something we likely won't see again. Union Pacific's last active DDA40X locomotive (now retired from the roster) pulls eastward through Spanish Fork Canyon on the former Rio Grande at Castilla, Utah the morning of Aug. 13, 1997.
