MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 31, 2015)- U.S. Marines with Echo Battery, Battalion Landing Team 2/6, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26th MEU), conduct physical training in order to raise their heart rate while participating in a live fire exercise aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24), Oct. 31, 2015. Turpinot ASV operāciju “Atlantic Resolve”, Latvijā ieradušies aptuveni 70 karavīru no ASV 1. kājnieku divīzijas 1. bruņotās brigādes kaujas vienības 34.bruņotā pulka 2.bataljona un 12 tanki “M1A2 SEPv2 Abrams”, lai stiprinātu reģionālo drošību un demonstrētu ASV klātbūtni reģionā.

No 16.oktobra līdz 29.oktobrim, Ādažu poligonā, Apes, Gulbenes un Alūksnes novados norisinās starptautiskās militārās mācības ”Sudraba Bulta 2017”, kurās piedalās vairāk nekā 3500 karavīru no Albānijas, ASV, Igaunijas, Itālijas, Kanādas, Latvijas, Lielbritānijas, Polijas, Slovēnijas, Spānijas un Vācijas. Mācībās piedalās aptuveni 200 zemessargu un 30 rezerves karavīru, lai pilnveidotu un uzturētu zemessargu un rezerves karavīru zināšanas un iemaņas.

 

No 18. līdz 23. oktobrim mācības “Sudraba Bulta 2017” bija redzamas arī ārpus Ādažu poligona – Apes, Gulbenes, Alūksnes novados, kur bataljona līmeņa vienības, pārvietojoties ar bruņutehniku, veica mācību uzdevumus ar zemju īpašniekiem saskaņotās teritorijās.

 

Mācību mērķis ir pilnveidot Nacionālo bruņoto spēku sadarbību ar sabiedrotajiem, kā arī trenēt vienību spējas plānot un īstenot aizsardzības operācijas ar kaujas nodrošinājuma elementu integrāciju.

Mičiganas un Latvijas 26 gadus ilgās aizsardzības sadarbības, saskaņā ar ASV Nacionālās gvardes biroja Valsts partnerattiecību programmu (SPP), noteicošā ir gaisa atbalsta kontrolieru (JTAC) programma. No 22. jūlija līdz 2. augustam, JTAC programmas ietvaros, Greilingas poligonā, ASV, norisinājās starptautiskās mācības “Northen Strike 19”. Militārajās mācībās piedalījās kvalificēti apvienotās uguns drošības kontroles virsnieki no Latvijas. Mičiganas Gaisa nacionālās gvardes spējas palielināja vairāk nekā 6000 karavīru no astoņām valstīm, piedaloties “Northen Strike 19”.

 

“Northen Strike” ir daļa no nepārtrauktas apmaiņas programmas starp Mičiganas Gaisa nacionālo gvardi un Latvijas apvienotās uguns drošības kontroles virsniekiem. No 13. līdz 25. maijam Gaisa atbalsta kontrolieri no Greilingas poligona piedalījās militārajās mācībās “Summer Shield XVI”, kas norisinājās Latvijā. “Summer Shield XVI” piedalījās vairāk nekā 950 militārpersonu no 11 valstīm.
