BULLSBROOK, Australia (April 07, 2014) U.S. Navy Lt.j.g. Kelly Wehle, a Naval Flight Officer assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 16 and Royal Malaysian Air Force Maj. Dianna, a naval aviator, had the opportunity to meet at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) base Pearce after a briefing about the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 search and recovery operations. VP-16 is utilizing the P-8A Poseidon aircraft to support the search effort and has been operating from Australia since March 15. VP-16 is deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
